The drip rail, dash, and floors were all really good on this one. I think these trucks get rust in the cab corners, rockers, and corner of the doors even if they were kept inside all their life.

Body work continues.......I had forgotten how miserable of a job this is. I have a lot of respect for anyone that can do this for a living.

Body work continues. The cab will get primed again this afternoon and should be ready for final blocking. The doors are very close to being ready for paint.

Here's a before and after picture of some of the rust repairs on the bottom of the door. Also, after we removed all the rust, we coated the inside of the doors with rust preventer. The same stuff we used on the cab floor.

Well, I've been out of town for the last couple of weeks so not much progress.

However, early in December I ordered an accessory drive kit from Holley to move the alternator, power steering, and ac compressor to the top of the motor to help with clearance issues on the frame. After more than a month, the parts are still back-ordered. Instead of waiting indefinitely, we went ahead and clearanced the frame a little to make room for the belt and trimmed the front of the Dirty Dingo Slider to clear the alternator. This way we will be able to keep the alternator and p/s down low and out of the way. Looks much better if you ask me.

No real exciting updates. Still blocking on the cab and doors. The doors will be ready for paint tomorrow and the cab should be ready by early next week. The doors came out really good. Especially considering they were pretty rough to begin with.

Now comes the dilemma of picking colors. Wanting to go with a non-metallic paint and leaning towards an earth tone from the 68 trim up with white on bottom.

Are you priming the doors while they are hanging? If so how do you avoid paintless spots where the wires wrap around them?

This was the 3rd or 4th priming of the doors. We hung them this time because we didn't add any additional primer to the window frames just the face of the doors.

Looking good man. I really want to paint mine but this part of it scares me. The body work. Lol. Wasbt a fan of those wheels you picked out before but I have been digging then lately.

Thanks, there is only one way to learn I guess. It's been about 20 years since I've done any and it has been a good learning experience for me. I like the wheels as well, they still aren't my first choice, but I like them.

We got the radiator support back from powder coating today. It came out really nice. It was pretty rough to begin with and I should have taken a picture before repairing it.
