That actually makes sense.... the bars on top of the bed sides appear to be the sides off of a suburban roof rack...

Re: How rare is this?

Luvleggs, the truck was just north of Raliegh in Louisburg. It was off of 561 heading out of town. There seemed to be quite a few of those trucks around there.

Re: How rare is this?

There are quite a few running around - most asking about 8k because they run... It's not too often do you see them on the higways though - mostly the back roads and in town. I think it has to do with utility use vs. commuting speeds! I took mine up on Rt 40 recently and wound the 6 up to 70ish - that lasted about 3 exits and I got off again

Re: How rare is this?

It was off of 561, not really on a main road. I saw several of them there, but they were all long beds. Don't know about price was really bus while there.

Re: How rare is this?

67 chevyredneck, the rails look to be a set of Gm Accessory rails. Those were really popular back in the day- Dad called them casket rails. The wood grained ones often seen on these trucks- especially fixxed up in the late 80's were for the 73- up trucks in the GM access. book. I have a 71 sales brochure that illustrates the same rails as pictured as a dealer option. Fender shirts are dorky on trucks Ryan but I know where a Green truck is that needs a set... hint is near George's Deli. Hahahahaha- call me about guy and the LWB bed.

Those skirts are factory. Most guys (99.9999%) removed them when Hi-Jackers & L60s took over and they clashed with the sidepipes. It was known as the fuddy duddy appearance package which included multi-colored pedestal-type cab lights and 12 lights in the grille,a full width mudflap, curb feelers, suicide knob, and an afgan seat cover.

Re: How rare is this?

So when the Nash car company sent long time designer Bob Skirts packing he landed a job with Chevrolet to help design a new Blazer....After years of development one prototype was released.... We have recently found that Bob works at McDonalds...

That is a very impressive list of options, but is that just for the rear wheels. The front and rear wheel skirt options appearing together would be like the holy grail of options.
