its not strange if you live in a state like minnesota, or any other state that uses salt on the roads during the winter. the driver side always rusts out way faster. I would suspect that your pickup spent some time in a state like minnesota.

Well, or Utah. We get plenty of salt on the roads here in the winter time

salting roads has got to be one of the dumbest things there is. now you know why your drivers side rocker is rotted out. as far as the op. you already know what you really want and you just are curious what other people have to say, but no one here will sway your opinion. goodluck either way. I would sell and buy the 68 from what i see, but i personally dont like the older style.

I'm gonna try to check out that one in green valley before feeding back to sacramento... Wonder what the chances are that it makes it 300 miles up there...? I'm driving right past there tomorrow so worth a look.
