Looks like this may be in a C40 / C60 series truck, they were the only ones to get the heater cable cover like that.

I keep log books. My last one was in a steno pad, but for this c10 I got a nice bound lab style notebook. I usually type most of it up on my build thread first that way if it doesn't get into the notebook immediately at least I have the right dates for what I did.

This book shows maintenance that was done for the first 7-8000 miles. And what extras were installed when it was purchased.

Are there any clues in the log book what they might be (the "extras" you mentioned)?

I usually put everything in mine. Oil changes to tonneau covers. It's especially nice if you ever need to sell the truck, very reassuring to the guy who bought my s10.
