not sure if you know or not, but you probably do, but the 71-72 outer brackets are different than the 67-69 outer brackets

Actually that is a good idea and one I was thinking about. I have got two good friends right by you, one in Ontario, and one in LA.

Yup, stripping parts off in your garage/driveway sure beats laying in the dirt watching out for rattlesnakes, haha.

No problems with shipping rates - So, what kinda shape are the bottom edges/lips? Surface rust, pitting - rusted through? I see from the picture, driver side rear light housing has a small ding. Anything else?

Re: 1971/72 Chevrolet C10 Long Bed part out

Got by this morning to shoot some detailed pics of the doors and the cab, cab looks really good..the rust hole shown above the windshield already and found another spot on the drivers side lower left kick panel..that's it! PO cut a small opening for a floor shift, but as you see it is still there and could easily be welded back in. Driver side door has a bubble or two of rust in the front lower corner and maybe some previous filler when painted baby blue.... Let the pics ensue....

Is the rust around and below the master cylinder, and bottom of rockers just surface?

Rockers is surface only..very solid inside and out....I am sure the firewall under the master cylinder is too...but I will remove the master cylinder, etc and then wire brush and shoot a couple pics for you...

Re: 1971/72 Chevrolet C10 Long Bed part out

I guess I'm already second in line, but what are the chances of getting the whole bed (minus that fancy tailgate!) over to a warehouse in Carson (next to Cal State University) for shipping down here? How rust free is it?
