Re: do blazer full length quarter panels exist

Bent, did you re-drill the hard top holes again or are you staying topless with this one?

Re: do blazer full length quarter panels exist

Didn't mention but the pass side was original so had to drill new side to match, but plan to run topless next summer. That and the fact that I've got some repair on the top and hatch to do.

Re: do blazer full length quarter panels exist

Seen those before and it was determined on another board that they are the run of the mill pick-up bedsides, not the shorter blazer bedsides.

Check out the "description" in their add:

Description: BEDSIDE, RH, 68-72 C / K FLEETSIDE / WIDESIDE PICKUP SHORTBED

Re: do blazer full length quarter panels exist

Why not just buy my 69 C-20 bed in NC which is in fairly decent shape and go nuts with a plasma?

Best way to achieve that is to find a donor tub, probably cheaper too.

Re: do blazer full length quarter panels exist

ya i no. But why cant they build new ones what is the reason there has to be reason why they wont produce them there cannot be a very big market for the 73-91 blazer so why do they produce that body style? I wonder what it would take to get them to produce them. There is already a very big need for them.

I hear ya & agree but it's all about the numbers...period.

The 73 & up trucks had production number runs in a single year that exceed the 'total' ever built during the 69-72 years.

It takes huge amounts of money to tool up and produce something like a quarter panel and with the small numbers these blazers/jimmies represent, I doubt it will ever happen.

Re: do blazer full length quarter panels exist

you know if someone repo'd the b pillar section only that would work in conjunction with a truck side and then have all new metal for the complete side AND to do a section like that would have to be WAY cheaper than them tooling a complete side. kinda a meet in the middle thought???

I don't blame you. If I had them, I'd have to take them out and rub them some every so often tho. mmm, tasty.
