I think that's the 2 wheel drive one he got off of Fast68 a couple years ago. He said he was going to convert it...but with the fleet as big as his, there is no telling.

Smile rare 67-72

I had a 1970 2 wheel drive jimmy witch are believed to be only 5 made ? It was totaled and used for parts. I did find a 1970 2 wheel drive blazer. How about a 69 k20 ?

There has to be more then 5 70 2wd Jimmys made.

The rarest ones I have seen has a 70 crewcab and my 72 2wd Jimmy, one of 112 sold in Canada.

Paul does have that 67 3/4 ton 4x4. I bought it off another member. But had it traded to Paul before i actually picked it up.
It is rare.
Even rarer that it made it from NY to Ohio without falling apart on the back of my wrecker. Then on to Indiana later on the back of it. Rough shape is an understatement.

Rare Trucks

The Rarest I have seen is my truck and blazer72cst's, 72 1 ton Longhorn. Mine is making a remarkable comback but his was sweet the day we bought it from an old farmer out in El Centro. Both Trucks had your normal small areas of suface rust but were nice for no serious rusted areas.

My Blazer is KINDA rare -- CST without A/C. Almost ALL CST Blazers (over 80% if I remember) had A/C.

After seeing so many "rare" 1 ton Longhorns, mine doesn't seem so rare anymore. Somebody here once told me that they never had seen a Longhorn CST 402 auto with 4.10 no-spin rear axle before, and I suspect they didn't believe me. But, with the number of Longhorns coming out of the wood work here, I guess it no longer seems hard to believe.
I have a hard time believing that any of our trucks can truely be considered "rare". They are Chevrolets. I've seen a dozen or so longhorns in various conditions around where I live and work over the last 5 years.

My 50th Anniversary Burb In 4 years, I have never seen another one. Saw 2 on ebay that MIGHT have been, but were painted over and never confirmed.

Not sure how rare it is, but i've not seen one before. Numberoneson & I robbed parts off a early '67 c20 (Chevy) with a 283, 4 speed, non-integrated power steering, and a "detroit no-spin" differential. Had a radio and I think power brakes.

did you grab the no-spin out of that? they're worth some cash to the right person, as they are no longer made for the eaton axles.

Here's the rarest I've seen. A '71 ambulance with the original 350. It even has the stretcher and divider that goes between the cab and the back. The interior looks like it's in good shape!

It's still sitting there a year after this pic was taken.

No we didn't, although I might still be able to get to it. One problem with it, we tried to roll it to get at the stuff easier, and the rear wheels won't budge! It may be brakes or somthing else other than the dif, don't know.

Is the slave unit & center link off of the p/s system worth anything? I didn't grab that either so I'm sure it is.

72 2wd Blazer

How rare is a 72 2wd Blazer ? I got one for the the five lug parts to use on my 67 short. It sat in one spot since 1977, it went to waste. I think about keeping it as is ( the fram that is ) for a someday project.

72 blazer 2wd

There was 3357 2wd blazers probuced in 72.1277 in 71,and 985 in 70. There is someone in the blazer sec wanting a 2wd frame. if you part it.

groundflyer...that is not a longhorn you have there, that is just a one ton 9 foot step side, and I wonder if it is a real step side truck being that it has dual tires in the back. 67 - 72 had NO daulies sold with pick up bed at all. They were all cab chassis, or flat beds.
All Longhorns were 8 1/2 foot fleet side beds, on a 133 inch wheel base. The model numbers for Longhorns are as follows;
3/4 ton...cs21034 for inline trucks
3/4 ton...ce21034 for v-8 trucks
One ton...cs31034 for inlines
One ton...ce31034 for V-8 trucks
But from what I see, I think it is a 1968 cab/chassis with the 133 inch wheel base. if a v-8, the cab/chassis model number would be CE31003, if an inline, then cs31003. This number is on the glove box option sheet.

i'm just wondering about those 3 cylinder diesels. i think they were optional for the stepvans. never seen one but those MUST be rare. wondering if they were available for truck chassis.
also i used to have a picture of my grand dads 67 c-30 railroad truck w/single rear wheels and utility bed--but i can't find it. which also makes me wonder about the c-30s--how many w/dual rear wheels & how many w/single rear wheels. we can leave out the 158" wheelbase models. definately don't see alot of the single rear wheelers-probably most were longhorns after 67.
