Re: 1964 Chevy c-10 build "Carla Marie"

Also mocked up the carb and air cleaner setup. Going to have to go low profile on the air cleaner to clear the wiper motor. Might do some sort of cold air tubing set-up.

WOW, I just realized that the wheel youre runnin' is a 20, too. It is DWARFED in that wheelwell. You could run a 24" and leave the truck on the ground and still make U-turns!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea.. You would really need a +32" dia. tire to fill up the wheel well. I hope to be doing some surgery to the front fender this next week. I do like how the top of the fender opening is lower on the c60 than on the c10. Might end up mixing and matching to get the fender lip lower.

Mocked up the 63' grill I have and the embossed letters from the c60.

Also, some pics of the guage cluster that came in the c60. Will be swapping this into the c10.. Does anyone know if this tach is the factory version?

Re: 1964 Chevy c-10 build "Carla Marie"

Update on the 64' Just got the cab back from the painter. Had the cab blasted and coated in epoxy primer. Not too many rust spots, but will have to do some patching.

Re: 1964 Chevy c-10 build "Carla Marie"

Got the tires installed today. Getting the truck in roller status always helps! Been thinking of taking the front clip off my c60 for the c10... Maybe graft the front of the c60 fenders to the rear of the c10 fenders and then use the c60 grill suround. What do you guys think?

The wheels bolted right up on the front. Same bolt pattern. On the back I had to machine a counter bore to clear the axle shaft. Wheels are 20x8 and have a 5 1/2" backspacing. Lets me run the stock rear axle and clear the bed sides at full drop.

Once I get the front clip off the C60 I'll mock it up on my 1/2 ton. I have a 63' grill and would like to keep the lettering above the grill.

Also, pic of the truck at ride height. About 3 1/2" off the ground. Max height should be around 7" to 8" off the ground.

Thanks for the good word guys. Mocked up the front end last night for tire clearance. Not too bad. Will have to trim a little fender for turning.
