on a factory 6" wide rim, you'd probably get away with it, but you'd have to run a skinny tire like a 215 70 series so it wouldn't make contact with your tire rod end once you lower it and swap it out for the newer style.

I guess I could also got with the 4" b.s. but then get some spacers. But then after lowering i might be dealing with fender rub
