Keep it stock. Offense to no one but there are plenty of lowered trucks with big wheels. I know it is a grandpa look but I like it.

Re: Lower Yes or No

Hey Bones, I like it too.

Ramz, it's your truck, do what you like. This group will probably not talk you out of modifying your truck. At the end of the day, you have to like what you do to it. If you want to paint a mural of Jesus feeding a cheeseburger to a hairy dog with a naked lady in the background, that's up to you. It doesn't matter if we like it, just that you like it.

I vote NO. Leave it regular stock ride height. My personal opinion is that they look better that way, but that's just my 2 cents. GTT

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

That is my favorite factory color scheme. Everyone has their own taste on drops. I think you did well. I prefer the 2.5/4 drop.

Wish you would have kept the rallys on there though! My favorites

Re: Lower Yes or No

Nobody were I live has a lowered square. I came to this sight looking for advice on lowering, me being an old man not knowing anything about lowering a truck.
It's funny some of the comments on this thread- I sold the aluminum wheels that were on my truck when I got it, and I met a guy about my age in a Lowes parking lot for the sale. I was driving my truck and I had just finished lowering it. He immediately had an attitude and said that's cool, but I want to use my truck as a truck..it made me laugh, he was driving a new escalade-like he would ever have that in the dirt in 4WD....

Yep.... I've gotten the similar comment "When you lower a truck... it's useless" more than a few times. Yet I've towed my steel floor open car hauler w/another 1/2 ton truck w/o issue. it's all about how you do things.

Re: Lower Yes or No

Lower it. Peer pressure.......I'm well beyond in my age worrying with looking cool and being seen as being cool. You could leave well enough alone. You seem to like it. Personally I like a truck to have attitude. Whether lifted or slammed. If it doesn't have the right look it just never works. Ralleys, steelies and some mags are timeless. With the right stance your truck would be killer. Just because your friends jump off the bridge didn't mean I had to. I drove the car off of it....lol.

Re: Lower Yes or No

I don't think most people read these thread's before they post , the drop looks awesome.
as far as paint (when your ready) keep in mind that a month to a body shop is 4 or more months to the rest of the world .

Re: Lower Yes or No

looks real good.the thing about lowering is your eyes get used to the amount of drop you have and you want more.i had a perfectly useable truck lowered 5/7.then i went bagged and let me tell you i miss that truck.i have 4 squares and i end up driving my 6 cyl dump truck more than my bagged truck.
