Re: Brown Santa

I got my tracking number for my delivery of my new aluminum Radiator. Big Brown Santa will be here on Tuesday!!!

My radiator was going through about 1 cup of water through 50 miles. nothing to bad, but it grew over the last month to about 1/2 gallon through 25 miles

Re: Brown Santa

Got the pan on tonight in the dark. New detent solenoid and filter. Hopefully I'll have my kickdown back now. Glad I got that pan with the drain plug, messy as @#$% job without one.

Re: Brown Santa

I started my manifold and gasket swap today aswell, eddy performer designed for my divorced choke stock q-jet. It's a real surprise why my truck was drinking oil and water. The intake gasket was plastic coated steel, but partially replaced by rot and a PO at some point fixed missing places of the gasket with grey rtv???? Leaking end rails, no sealant on the less than finger tight bolts... Holy hell those iron stockers are super heavy compared to aluminum, stock manifold 45 pounds, performer 13.

Re: Brown Santa

I'm still waiting on a vacuum line fitting from Brother's, so my intake swap has to wait a bit.

Re: Brown Santa

Just to be careful not to break it taking the manifold off should it have gone backwards, I attempted to take off the oil pressure sending unit. Good thing the threads were corroded or something and it sheared off in the block. So don't know what i'm going to do about that
