Re: front bumper with fog lights..

yeah your right, since i have an hid conversion for the headlights maybe i can find some led bulbs that will match the light output without the heat. i guess like everything, you have to try it.

Re: front bumper with fog lights..

I've toyed with this round and round. I'm an older dude and me and my fellow gear heads love to do them up "era correct". Not to the point of upholstering in shag carpet, but rather adding the tasteful touches that were popular back when the were new.

I do really like that LMC bumper but I can't bring myself to buy one - to me it's just not quite right for reasons I can't exactly put my finger on.

Here's a front shot of mine, as it is the way I brought it home.

That's how it was done back when. Simple and arguably crude in a way, but it definitely falls into the category of "era correct".

When mine gets painted and new bumpers, I'll admit admit I am terribly tempted to drill the top of that new bumper and put a new pair of Hellas of the same size in the same spot.

I'll stop short of the Yosemite Sam "Back Off!" mudflaps () but I'm thinking I will drill that new bumper for a set of Hellas to sit where those do.

<Shrug?> What can I say? I like that look.
