Holy jumpin' Jehosephat, Gee_Emm! You've got your work cut out for you (no pun intended)! Ah hell, just funnin' you. Truth is, it's nice to see "the other side" once in a while. After seeing all the purty trucks, I think it might be inspirational to all of us to know that there are others that are just getting started. It's about saving these great trucks, after all!

Hello. My name is 'Mutt and I drive an UGLY truck.

As soon as I can get some pics of my 69 scanned in I'll show her off, although, compared to some in this post, it's at least all the same color primer...

Here is my ugliest 73 Chev truck picture.
Notice the custom instalation of a 283 using 73 alternator mounting brackets. To make this alternator mount the the head that had no mounting holes the previous owner use a very handy 2x4 and attach the 2x4 to the engine block using two large spikes thru the wood and into the mounting holes in front of the block. Then using a large wood screw mounted the altenator to the 2x4.
Also notice the custom baling wire holding the upper radiator hose to the master cylinder in order to keep the hose falling on to the fan blade.
This truck also had a high speed braking system. Only the right front brake was hooked up. At any high speed over 2 mph you didn't want to apply the brakes unless you wanted to turn right very fast. LOL
