Do you have sealed headlights? If so, no bulb replacement. I've also used the Sylvania upgrade (cool whites? They suck) and the Hella one. Hella makes a better light, with replaceable bulbes that uses a H3 headlight bulb with an open housing. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=egnsearch.asp AND if you're really mean, you can put the "offroad only" bulbs in there... The second link I posted is the Hella replacement headlights that allow you to change the bulbs. They come with an H3 bulb but an H4 fits in there and is easily available. |

This is what I'm using. The relays were $1.50 ea, and the wire pig-tails were like $2.00ea. The pig-tails inter-lock with each other, and keeps them secure. When I ordered mine I got 6 relays and 4 pig-tails and the total for the order was around $23.00

Well, I went ahead with this project idea on my GMC today, holy cow that makes a big difference!
I used what I think is 8 gauge stranded wire for the high beams, 10 gauge for the ground and low beams. I'm quite impressed with how much brighter they are now as compared to before! And thats with it at just 12 volts, I can only imagine when the truck is running and the voltage is at over 14!

aquik72gmc350, I noticed that relay socket you used has 14 gauge wire for the power. Is this enough for the headlights?

would this work with the summit kit? Seems pretty cheap combo. $30 for H4 housings and bulbs
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/67-81...01582779QQrdZ1 plus $20 for the summit kit. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...art=SUM-890035 Would these work together? $50 total!
