Re: project teacher
Great lookin build man, gonna have a whole hell of a lot of giddy-up with a power plant like that! Tires are cheaper in bulk, right?

Re: project teacher
What a great looking chasis. I think I enjoy looking at a clean chasis more then a completed truck.

Thanks guys for the nice comments, I got my valve covers and I was really nervous cause I've never done anything but chrome. But I like the way it turned out!

Re: project teacher
Not much progress this week, i've got my drive shaft but not installed. I spent my day building a stand so I can bring my cab home from paint. Having a hard time finding an air cleaner that will fit my dominator. Still have to research what distributor and starter I need. Heres a pic of what i'm working on, don't laugh first time I've welded anything.

Re: project teacher
Cool project, looks great! Where did you get those valve covers? I like those a lot. 540 will be some serious ground thumping power!

Re: project teacher
Thanks RustBuket
The valve covers came from Billet Specialities. The only problem is they don't make an air cleaner to fit my dominator carburetor.

Re: project teacher
Kyle,
From the last time we talked I was getting the vibe that you would prefer reproduction. I really don't know the difference between 67 and 68, but since the cab is 68 i thought i would use that year. Im game for whatever you want to use? Thanks Gary

Re: project teacher
Spent about a half day this morning finishing up the table i'm using to move my cab. When I finished I went back and work the lash out on my rockers. After i got that done I installed my distributor. Tomorrow i should have pics of my driveshaft.
Thanks for looking Gary

When i'm done with my 408 i'll probably build a 540. It looks pretty sweet man. Good luck on the rest of your build.
