Re: Changing my 67 away from the stock look for 2014

I will NEVER lower my '72. It has always been stock height and I've owned it for the last 13 years. Now,I do have (and have had for quite a while) plans to lift it 6"!! Just want to do something with the motor first. You see...it's a 4wd afterall. I may put real company door lettering for my contracting business once all that's done. I used to always have my trucks custom lettered by my good friend who is still at it after about 40 years.
He did this (my idea) on my '84 Silverado back in the '80s:

Re: Changing my 67 away from the stock look for 2014

I guess the thing about my truck that's bothering some of you is that its looked nice and neat and clean and shiny for so long nobody has stopped to think that the paint on it is 7 years old its not as nice as it was and I was the one that made it the way it is and can repaint it back solid black later f I want to and IF I every paint it again which I probly will it will be even slicker and shinyer than last time but for now I'm gonna have some fun with it , K that door logo looks great man !

Sounds like you only have one choice....buy a bigger place!

I am looking forward to seeing how your truck turns out.

That is a beauty!

I do think its a shame to alter a survivor like that...but it is YOUR survivor...be sure to keep us posted on your progress (or regress).

I think you're going about this the right way. A simple drop, a professionally done legitimate door logo and maybe some wheels (or keep the stockers bc it will still looks sweet) and you'll probably be held over for another few years.

I understand the shortage of room problem. I say go ahead with changing, but just one thing at a time like you've been doing. I have an idea that will be a change AND give you more room for what's next. Change the name on the title to mine...Ez Peezy!
