Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Awesome shop!
I often suffer from shop envy.
In the next summer or two before I retire I hope to build a 3 stall 30x40.
Your set up is on the professional level to me, if I had that, I would probably try to do restos on these trucks for a supplemental income, sorta business.

Congrats on getting a part of your family history back. I have ideas of trying the same thing next summer while I am home.

I am in on this thread too, keep us posted!

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10

Thanks, comments like that make the work this summer well worth it. Believe it or not you could not walk through this shop back in May. The addition and lots of cleaning and tossing crap out was required.

Nice work on that frame, can't wait to you finish, On the 12 bolt I stayed with the six lug, found some axle's on EBAY from Rons machine, they were beefy motive brand for around 120, picked up my Posi unit from Rons as well, Mine was 4:11, I changed to 3:73 Motive gears

Very nice start. Also, sorry about your Dad.
I too have shop envy...

Very nice repair on that frame rail. Looks like it never happened.

Thanks, this is my first time to do a frame off. I'm really enjoying the clean frame and new bolts after the rusty teardown....

Awesome shop!! I can't wait to get mine going, but unfortunately it won't be that size!

I noticed the model aircraft.....one of my hobbies as well. Getting a few flights in every once in a while helps to take my mind off of not having the $$ or shop to work on the truck sometimes.....

I'll be visiting this thread regularly, keep it up!
