Do want something shiny or scary? Most trucks on here qualify as scary!! Scary with looks and power.

Re: Is your Squarebody magazine cover material?
Keith you need to submit your truck to LMC. This would be perfect for the cover of a LMC catalog.

Re: Is your Squarebody magazine cover material?
I think that mine is, but most magazines shy away from black trucks.

Speaking of lmc here is a pic of my burb in front of there building, they said they would possibly consider using it in a future catalog.

Re: Is your Squarebody magazine cover material?
Sorry for the lag getting back on here you guys, I've been slammed trying to hammer out tech stories for this new rag. One of my old heaps dropped-dead right in a spot where it's near impossible to tow it out. I don't have time to fix it, so I'm doing the tech story where it sits. Trust me no one has ever seen a background like this in a magazine before, i don't think... at least I hope not.
They opened up the call to include '80 square lights up to '87, but I think i got edged out of shooting the cover, no big deal. There are some trucks in this thread that really deserve a magazine feature, I'll follow up as soon as I can. I've got a bunch of really nice trucks I shot at the C10 King's get together I'm pushing to get worked into CCT, and Street Trucks... This stuff goes a lot slower when you're not the editor anymore. Thanks again for the help! |

Re: Is your Squarebody magazine cover material?
Hills gets a lot of attention for all the obvious reasons already(awesome builds). it would be cool to see trucks built by the average hobbyist out of their garage make it to the big time in magazines and such. just my opinion

Re: Is your Squarebody magazine cover material?
i agree. it always seems that the little guy in the home garage never gets photoshoots. look at the current issue of street trucks. ifyou dont belong to nc or st you will never get in a mag.

Re: Is your Squarebody magazine cover material?
Well, there are definitely some magazines that seem better then others....I subscribed to Sport Truck for years as it was a nice little publication that pretty much had what I wanted to read about...after it shut down I avoided the parent magazine like the plague after getting fed up with the ego's of the two main "writers" there. It seemed they featured their own trucks in more stories than anyone else's....
So I guess you might have to work at the magazine to have a better chance of getting your truck in there! You would think that the publishers would have the formula down by now....I might not spend $100,000 on my truck build, but the hobby-truck builders are what makes the market for many garages, SEMA members, all the on-line truck accessory businesses and even the magazines. So, feature some of our trucks for inspiration (like the fellow here starting the thread is asking for), feature some high-dollar builds for ideas, feature a 1-page shot of a truck with good-looking girl that doesn't look like she is on crack or hooking, and I would pretty much subscribe. (PS. Best put-together truck magazine issue ever: Sport Truck February 2004)
