Here she is...zero rates for the rear are on there way...has the usall squat...even with the 6 inch shackles.....and...it's parked on a slope....made moving the axles around quite fun.....Something I hadnt really thought about......transmission and transfer case are yet to be installed.....hmmmm....that could change things up front a bit.....damn. It's on 35's right now....

ahhh..I wondered about the 4L80E thing...must be a 91 year only for the 3/4 tons then? I have a 90 with the TH400. I found my TBI454/TH400 2WD Burban while looking for a decent truck to pull a trailer behind. I like the look of yours with 35's! Killer stance!

It is a 1 year thing for square bodies

Great looking axle there. I have been thinking about getting one for my Suburban myself. They're a little wider though than older 14 bolts. But then it lines up better with the front axle width, don't you think?

It bothers me that the studs are metric, special nuts to keep track of for the rear only.

What is needed to hook up the parking brake cables?

The lug nuts aren't an issue....and I haven't checked the connections for the cables....but I'll make em work......

You will be moving the perches as the axle is about 3in wider total i think or 1.5 on each side, don't bother trying to save the perches and just buy these http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...ch_p_1485.html they are awesome/cheap and have multiple sizes and end pieces if you want to weld those in

The parking brake is still an issue for me on my suburban i can't find any parking brake cables from newer trucks the right length so for now i won't be using them and the brake lines work if you use your original brake junction block im pretty sure

Ebrake cables can be custom made....
www.controlcables.com can make them to whatever length you need. You need to give them an overall length and give.them pic of both ends so they can make them. I don't have their number handy but their site has contact info. I've had them make cables for me before....good company to deal with for custom cables.

I figured I would be moving them in.....Slice down the middle...grind on the sides....and fit the new ones one side at a time on a pair of concrete blocks.....that way it stays the same pinion angle.....did it that way on a D60 axle once...worked like a charm. I wasn't too worried about the cables...I knew one way shape or form they were going to work...Thank's for all the good advice fellas.....

The pads inboard of the current spring perches...what are those? Is this the crossover axle before the 10.5 and 11.5 AAM's?

Thanks! Well.....for now....just a driver. I'd like to get some sort of sliders built for it and get corner protection on it to be able to use it more seriously offroad.....the problem is.....after all the work going into something like this....I'm a puss when it comes to potentially damaging it....lol. I also want to use it for hunting/camping and survival if the situation ever happens. I got the original perches cut off last night from the 10.5 AAM.....die grinder.....sledge hammer and about 45 minutes.....whoo-weee.....that was fun. Now I still have those inner pads to remove...(still dont know what those were for) and then get it cleaned up and weld my new perches on. I havent checked on the shock mounts to see if those have to be moved yet...my luck...probably will...but no biggie....I just bought more wire for the welder. About the original perches.....although the new ones from Ballistic Fab are 1 1/2 inches tall....the factory ones were even taller than that...so....we'll see if I still need the zero rates I got from DIY4X. I also got a factory steel skid plate for the gas tank off of a 91 Burb....and it appears to be plenty stout enough....so that part is covered.

I undid the straps...and disconnected the filler hose. Supported it with a jack and just kinda made my way around it with it in the halfway down position......MUCH easier than tryng to fish the brackets back in there...even with the capsulated nuts. That SOB is still heavy empty!

Control Cables # is 562-949-0455. I used to use them a lot for my rear disc conversion kits on gbodies in my shop-not so much with trucks with the availability of newer disc rears and cables that can be made to work-still a good option for those who want to retain the factory e-brake features.
