I've always liked these cars but never knew until recently that they were unibody. Is there any advantage to this?

And for tonight’s update. With the BCfab 4 link and massaging the inner fender wells, ole girl sits 3.5” to the pinch weld and will get lower when the front comes down. Had to weld my hammer back together a few times. Kept breaking in different spots but the welds never came loose

Nice job on the build.
What are you doing for the front? Modding the factory A-arms or getting one of the aftermarket kits?

Re: 1965 Lincoln, need I say more?
Depending on what’s going on in the shop this weekend everyone will see. But it’s a choppin block complete upper and lower arm/radius arm setup. Gonna ride low and still be drivable. Keeping the spindles as it’s the first year of disc brakes, but that will also have an interesting upgrade if all goes as planned

Re: 1965 Lincoln, need I say more?
No lincoln updates as I bought a house and been busy converting the carport to a garage. After all the Lincoln will need a good place to sleep. I am going to try and get the engine built this weekend and my trans guy has gone through my 4L60E so hopefully soon I’ll get the drivetrain dropped in and then take the car to the new house.

Re: 1965 Lincoln, need I say more?
Been sow going. Working a lot and have the fence up but still wrapping up final details. In the next couple weeks I’ll be moved in and the Lincoln will get some attention. But coming back from working on the floors today I seen something in downtown locust grove. Kinda ironic. Oh and I did pick up a new bike complete with cell phone holder.

Re: 1965 Lincoln, need I say more?
Promise things haven’t changed on the car. Just busy with getting the house ready to move in and general work and what nots. Sorry but I’m not in the mood to verify picture orientation tonight. Oh and I had an idea with the hood for the Lincoln. But not sure I wanna go that route

Oh and this went down. Didn’t feel like disassembling and reassembling again since this time it was just five miles

Set of rebuilds laying around that unfortunately they painted. But once everything is on it’s not like you’ll see them

You probably already know, but check out a movie called "Hit and Run" with Dax Shepherd. Great movie, with his big bad Lincoln in it.

Re: 1965 Lincoln, need I say more?
Finally getting back to the car, so much with the new old house but now it’s time. I know the car turned into a catch all but I have four days off to get this place cleaned up and hopefully get the LS mocked up

Re: 1965 Lincoln, need I say more?
So Josh and Josh both came by today, Josh bought the old drivetrain from the Lincoln and then Josh helped me put the motor in twice for mocking up the mounts. S10 LS swap mounts and cushions. One upper hole has a gap on half the hole but that’s an easy fix. GTO front sump pan with a little crossmember notch. When I pull the motor out for the next/last time I’ll finish boxing it in and then it’ll be time to start finishing it. So a truck passenger side manifold fits perfect once the heat shield is removed. Driver side TBSS fits but the flange hits the gearbox so I’ll have to cut it off and rotate it or I’m going to look into an F-body manifold first just to see. Anyways it’s technically in and trans is up for this week.

Re: 1965 Lincoln, need I say more?
Trans pan height with zero floor hammering, I’m going to dimple it around the tail housing bolts to see if I can get it flush and then let the trans crossmember hang 1/8” below the pan. Oh and the oil pan height is perfect, just enough room for the engine mounts to sag as they get some weight on them.

And here's the Madd genius contemplating "to turbo or not to turbo?"

Re: 1965 Lincoln, need I say more?
Leaning towards non turbo crazy enough because of the ac compressor. If the manifold that I ordered last night fits then no turbo. Please don’t fit

Re: 1965 Lincoln, need I say more?
So 98-99 fbody on the drivers side and truck on the passenger side, going to do some slight Clearance Work and I’ll be happy, down the road maybe I can find a scratch and dent set of 99-06 truck headers to match the factory stainless fbody manifold.

Re: 1965 Lincoln, need I say more?
And now we have a trans crossmember. Funny though because it wasn’t really too much to it. Took the stock crossmember and added a flat plate To the valley. Stock parking brake works and the crossmember is now stronger than original. A bonus is the retention of the factory isolators so its double cushioned just like stock.
