O'l Buck,my uncle has a WC that is restored that his father in law bought new,I don't know what model it is,but it is a styled one,and my dad had a 930 case wheatland too when I was a kid,it didn't have a 3 point on it so we traded it for a 7000 Allis Chalmers when I was about 8 years old,the 930 wheatland had round fenders on it and my dad was a machinist at ALCOA,and he made square fenders for it,don't know if I could ever find it again but I know if I find one with square fenders it could be the one we had,and you can't beat a D17 they are the perfect size for any type of job, what series is yours, does it have a 3 point or a snap coupler.

Mr Goodwrench, the D-17 has the snap couplers, it's a pretty handy little tractor......I grew up on it. For the 930's, I think the older ones had the round fenders (look kinda like WC fenders). mine has sorta square fenders (the elevator that owned it before me wasn't very nice to it.....the fenders are beat up and cut up, but it's a powerhouse. I wish it had a 3 point. Maybe someone will stop by someday with a 1066 that want's a case.....hehe......Do you know of any place that is reasonably priced on parts for the WC? I have a catalog that I got from tractor supply that has the engine kit, but it's like $700. I really want to restore this tractor. It's unstyled, and they are pretty short on power, but they sure are neat. My Uncle and I were always going to restore it, I rebuilt the head when I went to tech school, but that's as far as it got before he passed away. I had to do alot of talking to keep it off of the estate sale.

Thumbs up

This link may be of interest to you old tractor fans.
http://www.classictractors.com

The videos they have are shown on RFD TV and are really neat.

You can find info about all kinds of ag related stuff on RFDTV if it is offered in your area or you can visit www.rfdtv.com

O'l Buck, try www.allischalmers.com there are also a few links on there that are pretty good, but shop around on the net before you buy any parts, there is alot of over priced stuff out there, but 700 dollars sounds about right,I just don't know about buying it from TSC,I don't know anybody who has ever buy any engine parts from there, but they are probably ok,I just know there decals are cheap made, and are nowhere near correct.

sorry about posting on the message board,I apoligize,I didn't think so many people would reply, most of the people around me that fool with cars could care less about tractors, all I can say is they are really missing out,I love tractors as much as I love Trucks and cars, and I have been around them my whole life so I am sure that has somthing to do with it.

This is what happend when someone stole our tractor, and lost control, and ran it up a tree..
try about $9500.00 in damage....

I guess I'm a little hardcore, or hillbilly, but I believe that the person that did this should have his fingers cut off!!

My dad and his friends, and a lot of my uncles are into antique tractors and stuff. In fact one of my dad's friends started a Antique Power Association here, which is basically just a club for people who collect old tractors, dozers, and even cars (Model Ts, etc.) They have an annual show and everything. I'm not really into that stuff like all of them are. My dad used to own a restored Farmall Super A, but he sold it years ago. He is really into old Caterpillar equipment also, as he is a contractor in the earthmoving/ land improvment business. We own a D7F Dozer, as well as a Cat Scraper and Road Grader. It is the family business, Borah Construction in Huron, SD. It was founded in 1908 and my dad is the 4th generation in the business.

wip 68 - I'd be a little more severe in punishment than what you suggested. Tractor theft should be the equivalent of horse theft in the frontier days and we all know what that punishment was.

O'l Buck,no one was hurt or on them they were on a trailer and the trailer tipped over,it is just tragic,I think god no one was hurt, but it had to sickning for the owner,I feel for him,I have turned one over before when I was driving it,a 140 International,I was about 14 and I was going fast and showing off,hit the left brake and turned the steering wheel left to spin it around and over it when,I jumped off in time, but all I could think about was what my dad was going to say,he didn't get mad I guess he felt the scare of it for me was enough,to make matters worst it was about 10 feet from the main road, and everybody driving by could see, what an ass I made of myself, you learn allot from mistakes.
