I would have already stopped and bought it if I could or maybe I would be shot by now, but either way would have stopped in, have bought or traded for a lot that way.

I will go over with you to look at the truck. Since the farmer is probably an old guy, he might not shoot another old guy.

Maybe we can make it to the door if we dress in overalls, flannel shirt and boots. He would just think it's a neighbor coming over for a visit.

There's a blue patina'd swb around the block from my parents house sitting on 4 flat tires. I know what you mean about feeling a little awkward by knocking on their door. Good luck!

There is a pair of 71or 72 nice looking Blazer's under a carport by a barn 1 road over from where I live. I've been trying to work up the nerve to stop for almost 6 months now.

Same deal, I feel very out of place approaching people on their own property like that. Plus I look scary as hell (6'-3", 400 lbs, shaved head), so lots of people would shoot first if they see me.

I'm a tall lanky guy but I work for 911, and we dress very similar to the Police officers..

People think I'm an officer all the time.

It's a nice house, really.. If it were an old cabin deep in the woods with this mornings killins hanging from the trees it would be different .. but..

Dad and I have been there too though! We went to get a prestine 68 pass front fender and when we pulled off the road .. (yes, dirt like we're going into the woods) there was a sign.

"Trespassers will be shot on sight and fed to the pigs" I am NOT kidding. Good thing he knew I was coming to get it. Nice ole guy but man it was scary. Waaay up in the woods in Kentucky.

I highly doubt they will shoot you walking right up tot eh front door, now if you walked past the house and started poking around behind the house or around the truck, thats when they shoot, Most bad folks don't knock on the front door.

Wow , I must be a dumb Canadian , 'cause I've got no problem with knockin' on a door in the south. Only had a gun on me once....Ok , maybe I'm just not smart enough to worry. Got my 68 from the "wrong" part of town in north ms that way though!

Maybe I just have too much respect for people ... but I will go on Sat. I have thought about it all week. Hugger Orange is my all time favorite. I really just want to know what it is.. short / long etc. It just calls my name every time I go by it.

It may be a pile of rust.. hard to say.
