X2 On option 2 and drop it lower.
Have fun with the decision tree , follow your gut and think how you'll feel walking
up to each option in a parking lot. All the Best , Dirk

I vote for ochre with the white top. Looks good with both or the single molding.

Option 1: I was set on two-tone deluxe in ochre/white. I have all the NOS moldings. The upside is I might like it a bit more, though I think I'd want to drop the frame, because to me it looks much better. The downsides are is the cost is 15% more the alternative (below). I'd also need to drill for the clips and such. And most of all, those moldings have to line up perfectly. The suspension will be new regardless.

Option 2: Then there's the Ochre with the white top. This would match the SPID, though I may want to add tailgate molding only. I don't necessarily have to lower it, because I like both stances. I'd have to sell my moldings, but that's not a big deal. I have the stainless steel window frames and the paint separator.

Pictures are below. The first is almost like cheatin. Looks flawless and in a showroom. Anyway, which would you choose if you "could afford" both? SS is not allowed to post, you ochre-hating *%$*$......

Option 1:

Option 2:
I owned that truck about 7 years ago, I ran "Boyd Coddington" wheels on it most of the time I had it... with a 3/5 or 4/6 drop (I'm getting old) the liner was a "Line X" spray on liner.
Thanks to everyone that choose option A.

Say C10 King, I just realized what's beyond that truck. Very cool. I had the lemon, my brother's was apple.

Re: Need some assistance picking a color scheme (again)

Late to the party here but no disrespect to anyone's rig but in my opinion I always feel they look so much nicer with some mouldings. Some say it's cleaner with none but I see it as they either went cheap or for whatever reason didn't want to bother especially on Cheyennes

Now my truck originally no moulding but will have the upper moulding when I re-do it so my vote is a hybrid of your options white cab ochre body and upper mouldings. Still period correct and unique in this day.

Say Nitis, should you get those upper molding/hole locations dialed into original, I'd sure like to know the measurements. Granted, there is an assembly manual. At some point I'd like to add a thread with the exact measurements for all the way around, including clear reference points.

Couldn't you just start with the doors since they are notched for the key lock?

Re: Need some assistance picking a color scheme (again)

White top with white strip on bottom under trim pieces was factory in 71 at least. My lime truck is stock and has the same paint scheme. Favorite is white roof/color/white middle/color bottom...doesnt get any better imo.

YES...........Does the piece rest on top of the lock or slightly above?
