Ill see if I can't get the number for you tommorrow. Your local dealer will have to order it from Vintage Parts. GM has turned them over to them. They can get them though.

Re: My 79 Build...

Well it's been over 4 months since I've posted here. Been cruising and checking everybody else out. Well since things have slowed down a little bit for me I'm fixing to do a few things to my truck. I'll start with what I have gotten done on it lately which is a bedliner. Free by the way. New pedal pads and the pedal shafts painted.....

Tonight it gets this mound of parts put on. My radiator sprang a leak earlier in the week so it will be going to the radiator shop as we do this. Be changing out plugs, wires, cap, rotor, intake, v/c gaskets, radiator hoses, eliminating emmissions hoses, thermostat, heater hoses, vacum hoses, etc. etc...

.

Hopefully I will have some more pictures tonight......

Re: My 79 Build...

Well we got everything torn down last night and started back together with it. Radiator went to the radiator shop this morning. Had more trouble with it than I thought so we will see if he can get it fixed. If not I'll be getting a new one. Got all my brackets, valve covers, and intake blasted and repainted. Eliminated alot of unused things in the engine compartment. Gonna try and finish it up Monday night. Here's some pics.

Re: My 79 Build...

More updates. Pretty much got everything back together. I've got to get a couple of small things together. An air cleaner riser, some fuel line and a throttle cable bracket and we should be golden. Then it will just be adjusting everything out. On to the pictures.

We actually hooked a come along to the rear of a tractor and then to the top of the bumper and pulled it. Had to pull it a pretty good bit and let it spring back but it worked out real well.

Re: My 79 Build...

Well guys I got it running and drove it home. Ran fairly well. Timing and the carb need some adjustment but I'll get that taken care of soon. Went to set the timing on the truck and the timing tab is gone so that will be my next purchase come payday. Haha. May see what else I can round up by then. Still got alot to do to the old truck but I'm very happy with the progress on it. Here's the only picture I got last night but I'll go out and get some of it in the parking lot today. Drove it in this morning.

Re: My 79 Build...

Went at lunch and picked up a tube to go from the manifold to the air cleaner to hopefully help a little with the cold start. Also got a timing tab so we can get everything dialed in and got a new oil filler cap. Not much but its progress.

Re: My 79 Build...

Got a little done today. Got the idle set a little better. Got the jack and tire tools cleaned up and repainted. Replaced the p/s belt. Had a belt squeak after we got done with the intake so I tensioned all the belts out. Replaced the hose from my washer jug to the washer pump and cleaned out my washer jug. Painted my spare tire cause its in the bed of the truck. I'll try and get some pictures later today.....

Here's a few random shots from today. Some shows the things I got done today and some are just random....

My trucks in the driveway....

My washer jug cleaned up with new hoses...

Jack and tools repainted. Does anyone know if this is the correct way to mount this stuff?

My spare painted...

The rest are random pics I took earlier.
