I hear what you're saying, but still, an LT or "SUV" tire isn't a "D" or "E" rated "commercial use" tire, which is all I'm comfortable running on a dually. I suppose for the guys who just have a nice cruiser, that doesn't pull any real tow/haul duty, it'd be okay. These are the same guys who run passenger car tires on 16" wheels already. But for a lowered rig that's still expected to work once in a while, I think there's some significant safety factors that still need to be addressed.

Like I said, I still need to gross 15k every once in a while...an LT tire ain't gonna get me there. Which really sucks, because the concept is totally bad ass. I'd love to run a set.

That's a big ass tire. Almost 32.5" in diameter. Compared to a 225/75/16, which is a hair over 29".

yeah i found out thats a big tire, i have found some 7.50r20 though, says they are a shade over 28" tall

Light truck/SUV crossover tire options:

Michelin Latitude Tour HP
245-50-20's @ 29.7" tall; 7.5" recommended rim width; 1704lb capacity rating
235-55-20's @ 30.2" tall; 7.5" recommended rim width; 1874lb capacity rating

Yokohama Parada Spec-X
245-50-20's @ 29.7" tall; 7.5" recommended rim width; 1874lb capacity rating
235-55-20's @ 30.2" tall; 7.5" recommended rim width; 1874lb capacity rating

While the price might be close to the TW&T TowNasty's, I just don't care for the low, low, profile 22" tire on a dually unless it's laid-out. The other 90% of the time it looks lost. I think 20's are the great compromise. Obviously this doesn't do much for the guys that expect to tow a trailer loaded to the hilt, but 22's wouldn't have been an option in those cases either (22.5's might if they would fit)....

That’s not as bad as I thought. Almost 7k across the back end. Even at max GCW (15k), you’d probably be okay.

I’d still like to know how they fit.

Agreed. I wonder how many 3/4 ton trucks utilize LT tires vs. D/E load rated? Twice as many only helps but I'm ok w/the fact that my CC dually is really no longer suited for full capacity. I think of it as a DRW 3/4 ton .

I max out a few times a year. 6,300# truck, 7,100# skid steer, 1,500# trailer = 14,900#.

We do have a 5,800# skid steer if I wanted to save about 1,300#.

Hey all, Im the guy on Egay, lol, heres what I know about these, I worked for Eagle for 9 years 88-97, I was asked by one of your members to post, I have been selling lots of the 19.5, over 300 trucks and my fair share of 22.5 or 22" shaved, when I first saw the 20" coming out I jumped on it, getting the word out, and a big response.

I have 15 orders and the wheels are just coming thru, they are 6 aluminum, the rear inners will be interlocking with the outers, the wheels will be hubcentric to the vehicle, the front wheels will be rated at 3000 pounds load capacity and the rears 2350ea, so the wheels alone across the rear 9400 pounds.

we are still playing with tires depending on the look a customer is after, lifted with 33's or 35's, or stock or lowered, so far the Nitto 275/60-20 Dura Grappler at 33" overall diameter 10 ply load range E, seems will be the best for stock trucks, when you get to 285mm(11.22" wide) width that is when the rears will touch and thus need the adpaters but since these 20's will interlock and I have not even got a set yet we dont know what we will have to do to run an adapter, because of liablilty you will want to use a 10 ply load range e tire, anything less and someone is in big trouble if a tire blows out.

Im sure I will be shipping wheels only and customers will buy there own tires so I wont have the liability, if I do any with tires they will have to be 10 ply, I cant find anything smaller then the 275/60-20 at this time, just the Nitto mentioned above and Pro Comp(pro comp being discontinued but we can do a buy 3 get one free),

So all 6 aluminum polished wheels including the inners, 20x7.5 they will have the 0589 classics with round holes and the 0569 spokes will come in polished and black

Thanks for posting. That answers a lot of questions. I'm still curious to see how they'll look on a lowered truck, and what size/brand tire will work in that application.

BTW, I'm just up the 15 from you in Hesperia. How 'bout a local hookup?

The 'inter-lock' feature.... Does that mean the wheel spacing will be similar or the same as a pair of steel wheels?

This looks promising, It would be a cheaper option than having to fork out the cash for adapters, wheels, tires, possible lift if going with 22.5's, and having to find a C&C rear end to tuck under the fenders.

Define 'tuck'.... If laying out, the rear is going to have to be shorter width. Big drops should still work w/the same dimensions (outer wheel lip to outer wheel lip width + overall OD) as a pair of steelies.
