I always got em mixed. Even in thesame sentence lol. What's the difference? My old one has 6 holes can i reuse it and get my money back for the new one? Or am i better off with the new one?

If you keep the old flywheel you should get it surfaced. Surfacing takes off a couple thousand's of an inch of material to make the flywheel absolutely flat. And provides a new surface for the disc to work on. So spend the money to surface it or use the new one. New one will be better.

Well o'reilly's sold ne a flexplate onstead so had to return that. But here's a couple pic'a how's it look? Torqued to 60 and 30 ftlbs.

They're 6 ton and go up another 3/4 a foot. Best 30 bucks on tools i spent for the pair.

Little but not really progress. I put the housing on the tranny and tried that way, but it would get about 5-6" away from mounting... Figured screw it. So i put the housing on the block with the TOB on the fork and trying to put it on that way, but it only gets 4" from mounting flat > i can't see inside it to what it's caught on any idea's? Also how do i get my tranny out of inbetween gears? It fell and now won't come outta low :/

try just the bell, no fork or anything, if it can't bolt up flush, maybe some wet paint on the clutch parts to see where it touches the bell.

It might be just the angle on your pic, but it doesn't look like your disc is lined up dead centre.

If you got the housing on, then the fork n TB should work, always found its easier to stab the tranny in, if someone pushed the clutch in some while doing it.

For the big /heavy trans that you are playing with.....bolt the bell to the block, then if you add an 8-10" pc of threaded rod in the top 2 holes (trans mount on the bell, 1/2" NC), they will serve as a guide to help "center" things up. It might take 4 arms, & 1 foot As the trans is guided in on the threaded rod, you need 1 person to watch that the trans goes in square, 1 in the cab to depress the clutch, Leave the trans in gear. 1 guy on the back to turn the shaft (back/ forth to rock her in. So i need 6 arms and 3 legs... Makes sence lol. I got my cherry picker that's about it. I'ma try again tomorrow. Make sure the disk is straight. Try the line em up. I'll get some bolts from work n cut the heads off. See what happens!

I forgot how heavy that is. yea I used long bolts with the heads cut off when I installed my TH350 on my own, along with using ratchet straps to "jack" it up in place but still be able to be under it. They held it about the right lvl and I just had to man handle it in place.
unlike my T5 that I was able to just set on my chest and lift in place. |

Yup, its the weight & the angle of the dangle messin with you...I do also agree with the clutch plate being a little 'off center". If you add the weight of the transfer case....yikes! I benched those old muncies, & iron saginaws, no issue.....if I had 2 good guys to lift a 400 turbo onto my chest, I benched that pig into place (one knee under the tail. & hit the pins).....one guy on ea side running bolts! Man I would not try it now, but @ 5 ft 9" , @ 220, I was a few yrs younger! Don't try to wrestle that big old trans, get some help....be safe. Longhorn

I'm not iron man but my 350/203 combo compaired to this is like 2x as heavy! Oh well. I like my girls a little on the heavy side. How do i get my tranny out of inbetween gears? Should i do it bedore i put it i tonight?

One step forward, two back. I finally got it in! But in the process my TOB come off my fork, and every time i tried to stab the tranny in it would come off it's pivot point... Is that normal or is my fork too short?

Well i finally got it all. But few more Q's. is the z-bar angle supposed to be like this? And how do i adjust the pedal to fully disengage the clutch by adjusting the piece of all-thread with a point lol?
