Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.
Well not really. I did start laying out the cut lines for the bed so that i can start the process of cutting it down. I will probably start working on it as soon as it starts warming up. I am also going to get some 5" drop springs for the back. That's really about it right now. When i start cutting i promise i will get some photos up.

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.
I know its been a while!
So I finally had some time today to start working on the truck again. A few weeks ago I ordered some 5" drop springs for the back. So I decided to get started installing them today. I got the rear end in and some wheels on it. It looked nice so I decided to put the bed on it so that I could have more room to cut it down. So after putting the bed on by myself, I decided that it looked too good to stop working on it. So I got my welder all set up so for the sheet metal. Then I braced it up with some angle iron. I started to cut one cut but it was late so it will have to wait. So what do you guys think of the ride height?

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.
got some work done today!
So today I cut the front section out of my bed and started welding it back together. It took a little more adjusting than most guys make it seem like is needed. I also ran into a lot of body filler. I think its quite substantial. I am going to have to use a piece of the other side of the panel that I cut off today. either that or I straighten it as best as I can. Thanks for looking. Let me know what you think.

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.
So yesterday I worked a little on the truck. Mostly welding and trying to get that large dent out of the side of the bed. Man I need some more patience, It takes some time to make it look good. It also has some heavy sheet metal. I am surprised that these things ever rust through. I also worked on the seem inside the bed a little straightening it up. Well here are some pictures. Enjoy, and feel free to comment.

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.
Before and after and i don't think i am done.
The pics before don't really do it justice. It was pretty pushed in. I also had to weld pound cut to relieve stress and then re-weld to make it look like this

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.
So i got a used fender today. looks like its from a custom sport truck. Maybe its not, who knows. All I know is that its a lot straighter than the one on my truck. It has a little filler on it and some dents but nothing that i can't fix. Anyway I am hoping that I will be able to get some more work done this weekend. So I will post more then.

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.
Finally got some work done!
Cut the last 8 inches out of the bed. So this is a short bed now, and man is it short. its the stock size, i am just not use to it. I still have to trim and fit but you get the idea.

Subscribed. I stayed at the same hotel as you for the cruise in a few years ago. I love the orange truck, super clean. Will this Truck be at any cruise nights this summer?

Got it, I thought the 54 was yours. There are a lot of cruise nights in Utah. Here is a link that outlines the show every month.
