67' gmc c10

I got a little free time this weekend so i was able to patch in some rust holes. There was two spots above the driver rear wheel, and one behind the wheel. Cut out the rust, made some patches and welded them in. Then sanded all the rust spots out and primed the rear 2/3rds of the bedside. The second pic was the finished product. And the last picture was a set of very yellow jegs spark plug wires theat we had sitting around that I threw on.Enjoy!

Sounds like a hotrod , I assume you have leaf springs , if so , the 4 link will be a big improvement , disc brakes a big improvement also , Im not so sure on the rack , my 68 c10 had ram assist , I changed it to a 78 power box and stiff sway bar bushings it drives great

Now i'm going around it fixing little things to make it better, such as the bent nails holding on the transmission shift linkages.

aren't those nails OEM? LOL

Another update, haven't ever posted a good picture of the pickup out in the day light so i figured i would. This is in front of a few bins on the farm, it is actually idling in the picture. It has my redone hood on it, the grill, and many different colored body loos like crap, but i don"t really care because its fun to drive. I have been doing more and more research on it and am finding many things about it i never even knew possible. Purrs like a kitten too by the way. Thanks, Enjoy!


I do however have one question, why did the rear end have leaf springs instead of trailing arms, was it a GMC thing?

That pic looks like it was taken in farm country....are you from farm stock? (ie: a farm based family).

....aaahh, that answers the question as to how you developed the technical skill at an early age. The farm raised kids (and teens) are usually a little further along the curve on the technical skills needed for this kind of work.
