Re: Project "Class Act"
Went by the body shop today and I am a little discouraged... Another week has gone by and there is nothing done... Hopefully tomorrow they will do something...

Re: Project "Class Act"
Well Chris Carlson's claim to fame is they are not a body shop.. all they do is Customs and hotrods... Don't get me wrong, they are great guys and all of the custom metal work I have seen them do is awesome... Having owned a Custom shop in the past myself I understand scheduling and working with the different cars in the shop, but it seems that the owner is more interested in going to the shows and drumming up more business than taking care of what is there... Just a little disappointed.. I will be fine once something really starts rolling on it...

Re: Project "Class Act"
I follow 'em on FB-it's show season, everyone's busy. It'll be cool. No more checks until you see progress, that usually gets their attention.

Re: Project "Class Act"
Just curious if they gave you a hard date when you could expect to pick up the truck? I have seen a bunch of paint prison trucks on here over the years.

Re: Project "Class Act"
No ... No hard date.. They came highly recommended by a few of my Hotrod Buddies... so I have a bit of trust in them... I am not in a huge hurry just would have liked to have seen some progress...

Re: Project "Class Act"
Hoping to swing by and see it in person when I'm down for the Chill. Man, I'm gonna have to bring some t-shirt money. Are you going to McPhail's show at the Go Away on Fri?

Re: Project "Class Act"
I am not sure where that show is... Nut I am probably going to mess around here at the house painting on the valve covers and working on the 1/25th scale model that will match the truck...

Re: Project "Class Act"
Sounds about right... Go Away is south of Old Town. Beatnik/lowbrow art show. Neat stuff.

Looking good! I'm ready to see it too. I'll post a few pics of the doner shorted coming apart so you have it in the thread. Mike |

Hey Mike... Do you have a Good Cowl panel that does not have a Antenna hole that I could swap with you?...

Re: Project "Class Act"
HA!
You know those are rare... and expensive. My Med Bronze BB truck has one but your not getting it. Chaotic should fill it. I have several to donate for them to cut from, like 10-12! Mike |

Re: Project "Class Act"
Ok so the Cab made it to the Media blaster today and all the paint was taken off of it... Then it went back to Chaotic Customs and got the French antenna put in and is back in primer... They will assemble it tomorrow morning and it will be ready for me to pick up... I Can't wait... Here are a couple of pics with all the paint off sitting at the media Blaster:
