Congratulations on the new acquisition! The blocks are similar with the 351 having a bigger bore (4.56") than the 305 (4.25"). The strokes are the same, even the 401 (only available in big trucks) used the 3.58" stroke with a 4.87" bore. The 351E also has the magnum heads and intake manifold with bigger ports. There's a lot of good information on Jolly's site.
The 6066 GMC Guy Have fun with the truck! Bob

Thanks Bob, as soon as the darn thing runs good, I'll have fun.
I am devouring all the info I can from Jolly's site. It's fantastic, and getting some help from the V6 Board there too. - Jake Quote:

Jake,
You should post the link to your Yahoo pics here, it's a great looking truck and loaded with options (PS, PB, AT, AC, Buckets, and a tach too, right?) Nice truck! Bob

Alright, it's here:
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/vortex...AQpSDB.PxsBdW1 There is actually a whole 'nother thread here that I started before I actually made the purchase, in the '67-72 area. But it's a good idea to post pics here too, for the 60-66 guys that have the same engine! Last edited by Jakes-66-K10; 07-14-2005 at 10:15 AM. |

I have two complete motors carb to pan. Both are still in the trucks. Don't know much about them as they had been sitting for many years when I bought them.
If someone needs them I would sell them very reasonable. Make offer. |
