Re: How much should I expect to pay???
I saw a nicely redone, original stock, 69/70 CST-10 on a local truck lot this past weekend. It had $13,900 on the windshield.

Fwiw, I have basically built the truck you are describing. I have right at twenty into my build but this doesn't include buying the truck, or rebuilding the motor [did motor 5 years ago], or any bodywork/paint labor. Paint condition is a big consideration, I have at least 1,500 in paint materials alone, can't imagine what it would have cost to have all the rust fixed and every surface painted professionally . But these trucks never sell for the build cost if you count labor, so keep looking for the right buy. At some point you will find the right truck that someone built right thats for sale so they can build another project or pay for their kid's college tuition etc... |

That blue truck is a great deal even at the buy now price. Forget about the big tubs, just install a nice color matched hard tonneau. |

Re: How much should I expect to pay???
Thanks for your input BigSky. You are right, you have built the truck that I've described. When can I come pick it up? I know that there is little possibility to build a truck of my own for less than $20k. My plan is to do as you suggested and wait for the right truck to come along. I'm counting on the simple fact that you pointed out which is these trucks never sell for the actual build cost.

You are welcome.
Man, the blue truck sold for $10,950, that just proves there all still deals on eBay... assuming that truck is as nice as it looks in the pictures. |
