I'm not a sue everyone kinda guy but it was the driver's responsibility to avoid parked cars. If they want to get ugly about it take the district to court and file a civil suit(sp?) against the driver aswell.

Well your truck was sitting there minding it's own business and the bus driver drove up and hit it in the jewels and from the pics,,,,just about tore them off!!!!!!!

I didn't see it stated anywhere, but did the bus driver get a ticket? As far as the illegally parked issue, that is irrelevant. Bad parking does not excuse bad driving. The only other issue was whether or not the vehicle was visible to the driver. If it was then they are fully responsible no matter where you parked. Check around with local PI attorneys. Even though they will not be able to help you with a property damage claim like this they maybe able to give you some free advice on how best to handle it. At least they should as it is very good adverstising for them. I know the firm I work for would anyway.

Fight it. If I new my kid was on a school bus where the driver was running into parked cars I'd raise a lot of hell. That's a load of bull. If they're gonna make things tough for you, I would certainly return the favor.

I know one thing a bus driver got into a wreck and they fired her and they fixed the bus. I bet a short bus was hunting down that poor old defenseless truck like the pole was hunting mine that night
