Re: Sideways Saturday
Yes the ride is much better, not as harsh in the front as before. I still like the look of it lower but as they say "You can't have it both ways"

Re: Sideways Saturday
...wait a minute...it's SIDEWAYS SATURDAY!
So what if my '69 is filthy and in need of a bath, I drove it all winter and haven't gotten around to cleaning it or anything else yet. Almost like she took her makeup off. But it's getting posted today anyway! A little steel wool covered with wax and that nasty rusty wheel and tailpipe will look like new. Got a new chrome water pump pulley, the old one has a chip in it and is sounding horrible. It will be the slickest looking thing in that potential grease fire of an engine compartment. |

Re: Sideways Saturday
Holy cow you guys, I had to dig way back in the archives to find this thread.
Wasn't sure if I should post this picture here or in the " Let's see your truck hauling" thread, but that thing is probably 62 pages back. Anyway I made it on time at whatever time zone this is so I'm good. ETA: Took the garbage load to the dump and afterwards the truck weighed 4030 pounds. That means if me and my walrus blubber waistline would have stepped out of the cab, the truck would weigh approximately 3800. Not bad and the bed does have a wooden floor. When I left the dump and turned onto the highway I punched it and it barked second! It has a 3:08 rear so I was impressed with that engine yesterday. Last edited by BRL; 08-27-2024 at 05:26 PM. |
