Re: Chevys From Texas Showdown

Great pics! The blue 70 with a 67 front clip is a board members truck, I can't remember his name right off, but I have a TON of pics from his build thread saved on this computer. I drew a lot of inspiration from that build for my 68 build. It was also in an issue of Classic Trucks magazine.

This one:

The member you are referring to is Greens69. That "was" his truck. He bought it as a fairly finished project, and went all out to finish it at the level of quality it was started. He later sold it to a friend. Unfortunately, the current owner doesn't visit this forum.

I missed this Ken, thanks for posting. Steve is his name, right? It's one of my favorite 67-72's.

LOL, I have about a dozen magazines here at my deck that have 67-72's that had certain things done to them that I wanted to do to mine.

Re: Chevys From Texas Showdown

I've kept some magazines like that in the past. Then I kept more, and then more. Then I couldn't remember what was in which one and so forth! Man old age is going to be hell on my memory no better than it is now!

I bought the truck with the wheels painted. I did not like it at first either but I'm getting used to it. I just got done cleaning up all the crappy wiring under the hood and putting in a nice system. Building a nice SBC for it now that should throw down some power. The paint is Hot Rod Flatz

I have a few questions for ya....shoot me an email z28ss21@hotmail.com
