You should thank them! It looks good.
I did my normal, yard work, hang out around the house and enjoy my one day weekend. Dang! I hate the care sales business schedule. Oh, I did find a front clip that I am thinking about for my truck.

Re: What did you get done 8/23/2009 edition

busy weekend... installed motor friday night

had some interference with the pass side header, so I beated on a freshly powder coated oil pan with a rubber mallet to get clearance

used a 2x4 as a measuring block for a 1" spacer and N2o plate to mock up my fuel lines

installed the dist. and cut new plug wires to length...

worked on my console... I eventually plan on swapping out my interior from brown to black & grey

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

We had a very nice weekend here in east TN, it only got up to 80 today! So the wife and son was on me about getting the blazer out and take the top off. The blazer has not seen light for 4 weeks or more, so it was time and it was the first time for the top to come off with the truck done.. So I had to get some pics, got some wild looks too..

Moostifier, engine looks great. LOSE that air cleaner ASAP though. They look like crap, are restrictive, and more importantly, are prone to causing engine fires.

And Ken sorry about the blow out I did that back in the spring 2 time, but I tell you what I did is pull your back wheel over a curb to get it off the ground then you can change it.

Who makes the caliper mounts you used?

I have the El Dorado calipers and the spare rotors to do the swap once I get some time and a set of caliper brackets.

Re: What did you get done 8/23/2009 edition

Fixed a pesky master cylinder that was sucking air and pressure bled the system. It's nice to stop when you push on the brake pedal.

Put a CD player into the stock stereo opening without using an adapter.

Put a pair of speakers into the doors.

Built a pair of cab corner 6x9 panels. Still need to make the curved top section and seal the enclosure.

Swapped out the plastic window crank handles for a set of early GM metal handles.

Re: What did you get done 8/23/2009 edition

Nothing truck related.

I pulled the doors off my old cab the prior weekend and picked up my new cab, too. Also got the title to my new cab transferred into my name.

Hoping to go all the way to the frame this weekend if everything allows.

I was happy with them and the price was good too. I think I paid 47 shipped through pirate4x4.com

I have been out of the 4x4 scene for a while now and haven't been to Pirate4x4 in a long time. Was it a group purchase or just an advertised sale on the brackets. The greatlakes web site lists them for $67 shipped.
