Man you must be ashamed to let it be seen in your driveway in the daylight. Bring it on over to Rolla and I will hide it out here for ya. That is a absolutely beautiful truck. I would love to see it in person someday. Great job on it.

subtile details

Hope to hear about some of those subtile details:

carpet kit with mats sporting grommet at high/low beam switch

factory looking tilt with 68 color, 68 steering wheel and polished indicator cover

factory looking cst door panels and bucket seat covers

factory looking cruise control

Such a sweet looking ride.

Great job and thanks for sharing.

Bob, The carpet is repo and came with the grommet for the beam switch. The tilt is out of a 72, but I wanted to keep the 68 wheel and color so we just painted it to match the interior color. I just polished the indicator and cleared it. Believe it or not all of the interior is original except the carpet and the center part of the seat (it was removed when the camper was installed in 1968). The dash pad, door panels, arm reats, and seats are original. It has only 52k original miles on it. I actually need to find the "correct" material to have the center seat redone to match the seats. The center seat is from a 67 and the material is different.
The cruise is from a 1970 I parted out several years ago, it was a GM dealer item. The truck also has a speed warning indicator, tach, and vacuum guage
Thanks again guy's!!

That's awesome, makes me want to keep my C30 for a project down the road. But where can I hide it so the wife does not see it.
What's the wheelbase and what size rims/tires you running?
That truck looks great, need some daylight pics.

I fainted and fell out of my chair when I opened this thread. Now, I'm typing this from the floor under the computer desk. I'm too light headed to get up off the floor.

Stunning.

A nice one ton is rarer than rocking horse crap.

I think it is time for ChrisH to buy something of yours so we can meet you in DesMoines again, except this time you bring that instead of the 03 Duramax. Looks awsome.

This truck, along with Yukon Jacks, were the inspiration behind my flatbed project. When I first saw your truck Joe, I said,"I wanna have a flatbed that looks as nice as that " Well, mine doesn't even compare to the quality of yours. I am still debating on swapping the wood out for a steel bed floor, but nothing as shiny as yours. I'm to friggin lazy to try and keep that clean Plus it's damn expensive Very nice job on this one. I hope you can get out and drive the piss out of it now. Maybe some pics of a dually burnout?? hehehe

Sweet truck. Just curious but how much does a sheet of that diamond plate cost? I was thinking of replacing the floor bed of my 3/4 ton with it. If it's not too expensive of course.

For me to have a piece made for my flatbed floor that is 6' 6" wide by 8 ' long, it was going to be $350. SO I went with wood that cost me $80 instead

Thanks dubie. That's not too bad. I just need to find a place close to home so that I won't get killed with shipping.
