Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Today i just drove mine around. But last Monday i took mine to Monday Night Football here in San Diego. We had a little tailgate party out the back, and it was a huge hit with everyone at the stadium. One drunk dude told me it was the coolest truck he had ever seen, and was it a '74? Another compliment from a chick who asked me if it was a '54. 20 year span! but lots of fun and lots of compliments. Just wish my Chargers hadn't choked damn-it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I put a few more miles on the Burb today going to the shop and a couple errands and back home. Will be doing it again tomorrow since my regular DD needs a PS pump. Trying to enjoy the Burb as much as I can before the snow flies. I don't like to drive her in the winter anymore......friggin deicer.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Lmc parts arrived yesterday. Headed to the A-zone to pick up a new flex plate I ordered. Then maybe I can take the transmission back out and remove the 168 tooth flex plate and put on the 153 tooth that I should have put on the first time!
It had a 168 tooth flywheel with the three speed and I never thought that the change from the manual style starter to the automatic trans style would take the smaller flex plate.Got in a hurry and forgot to check. oh well- stuff happens

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Last night I measured my truck for the new driveshaft that I need to finish my 700r4 install. Today I went over and ordered the driveline with yoke and u-joints for 220.00. Oh! and I spent some cash at Jegs for the TV cable bracket and geometry corrector for my carb. Some day I might be able to drive this thing! But first I'll need a cab, bed, some fenders maybe a hood and doors. But damn the frame, engine and trans looks nice!

Left it setting in the shop and didn't even go out and look at it. Must have had enough of it for a few days after putting the bed wood in on Sunday.

The site is jsmotorsports.org. Its a southern Oregon northern California bassed website but its open to anyone. I would say the majority of the people on there are people with tuner and sport compact cars but there are some trucks and 4x4's too.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Worked on the front part of my hood today. Got my patch pannel welded in while I was in the shop and caught a break in the rain and mounted the front part back on the main part of the hood and spot welded back together. Just gotta put my patch in the front corner now and it will be good. I'll have some pics up soon.
