Re: Parting 68 3/4 ton project

Core support. The tray has a rust hole but the core itself does not.

You can see there is some surface rust along the bottom edge.

Re: Parting 68 3/4 ton project

Here are the cab pictures. It has outer rockers that the PO attached with screws. The inner rockers are gone. Other rust should be apparent in the pictures.

It *does* have a clean title.

(Yes, I'll clean that crap out of it.)

Re: Parting 68 3/4 ton project

Sorry I haven't had a chance to get back on this. I forgot there was a link with pictures when I posted. I guess I'll pass on the rear if someone else can use it. I was hoping the bumpers were chrome,so I don't need those.

I' putting up some pictures of the hood here. There is an offer on it but shipping might kill the deal. I'll update the status soon. It's really not this shiny ... I hosed it down so you could see how straight it is.

Re: Parting 68 3/4 ton project

Forgot to add... if anyone wants the frame, in whole, in pieces or melted in a bucket; the price is a low, low free; you just have to come get it and if the cab and motor are still attached, help me get them off for you.

You'll also have to take care of the heat issue if you want that melted in a bucket thing.

Is there no rust in the front of the hood? If so,and the deal doesn't go through,I'd like a chance to come look and hopefully buy

Re: Parting 68 3/4 ton project

There is some surface rust under the lip but no rust through or deep rust. It's very sound.
The issue should be settled before the weekend so you'll be next in line if the deal doesn't complete.

Re: Parting 68 3/4 ton project

I think you better send me your number to be sure,Keith. If it's ok,since I'm close enough,I'd like to look first this weekend before committing. If not,I'd like to see closer detailed pictures of the front lip. Do you think it has no repairs done to that area? I'm not hemming & hawing. I have a louvered hood for my '67 project and have been wanting to find a good original hood to have the option before I do any paint. I definitely want to buy the right hood.

I don't see where anyone has wanted the front bumper. Can you show some more pics of condition. I'm interested if it isn't twanged. Thanks, Jim

I'll get better pics tomorrow. It's dark, cold and the wind is howling right now.

Here is the transmission crossmember. It certainly looks original to me. I can't imagine it's been swapped.
