Re: 89-91 Burb Grill on a 68 Chevy???

i dont like the truck one bit, but at least the builder followed through with his theme, with the bed, the grille, the dash, and the seats that is what makes a custom good at least to a point

I certainly don't consider myself the Swammi of automotive styling- but whoever butchered the perfect profile of a 67-72 Chevy truck to create that abomination must have tripped and fallen into a big ole pile of dumb-sh!t.

Re: 89-91 Burb Grill on a 68 Chevy???

It is just a custom truck now, no longer a 67-72 Chevy/GMC.

I appreciate the work that went into it, but I prefer the stock look myself.

Re: 89-91 Burb Grill on a 68 Chevy???

I can appreciate the work that went in, but not really my thing. However, the bed sides on that 91' bed are fiberglass, so changing the arch should've been easy for someone who did that much work.

Re: 89-91 Burb Grill on a 68 Chevy???

you guys gotta remember too, that truck wasnt built yesterday

back when it was first built (somewhere in the 90's im guessing) alot of people hadnt seen something that custom and really liked it and the concept

nowadays most trucks surpass that

its just the way of the world

Yes it does. See how the fenders flow into the grill.

Re: 89-91 Burb Grill on a 68 Chevy???

The reason I bought my truck was because I wanted to to look like an old truck. If I wanted a newe LOOKING truck, I would have bought one. Some things in life just don't belong.. and this is one of them. Leave the old trucks as they are. If you get dented panels grills etc.. it's not the end of the world. Hit the yards, internet.. there are parts out there. If this is in fact what guys are doing. Could be photoshop as mentioned.

Re: 89-91 Burb Grill on a 68 Chevy???

What an entire waste of a truck, messed up Everything; door handles and side mirrors aint that bad... other than that its hidious... plus ive never liked the older beds on these models; this is too much. In my opinion, 67-72 was the best body style on the best model of the best make of vehicles, but the builder was surely commited
