Re: CST emblems with pic.

There were for`72:
*Custom/30
*CustomDeluxe/30...Custom/30 emblem with Deluxe in rectangle below it.
*Cheyenne/30
*CheyenneSuper/30...Cheyenne/30 emblem with Super in rectangle below it.
*CustomCamper/30,too.
The earlier years had a C/30 emblem.
The only "K" emblem was the K/5 Blazer emblem.

Re: CST emblems with pic.

kaizer, This is a little blast from the past. I have added a few since then. Good luck with the cst/30 search. I know the cheyenne/30 emblem is reproduced now which would be "more" correct for a 72.

Re: CST emblems with pic.

Thanks for the quick replies...
Thing is, I'm not much concerned with staying accurate to the period - this thing's got newer 1-ton running gear & 5-speed anyhow, plus fuel doors in a fleetside, etc... just partial to the idea of an emblem that conveys the gvw & 4WD. Failing that, I guess I just like the sound of the CST. Was there ever a k/30 designation, or had chevy switched to the K3500 by then?

Re: CST emblems with pic.

There were no K/30s until the mid-late`70s in the boxey body style.The`71 CustomDeluxe/10 shortbed I`m putting CUCV axles under will boast CustomDeluxe/30 emlems.Unless It turns out as a GMC(I`m leaning that way). Then,I`ll be searching out SierraGrande3500 emblems(another tough find). But since I have a houndstooth bucket seat interior for it,it should be labeled as top-of-the-line.I may just skip the emblems.
GMCs used the 1500/2500/3500 designate.Chevy switched in`88.

Re: CST emblems with pic.

You know there is also a "4 wheel drive" emblem that would go under the front marker light found on 68-70 trucks. I think that is a repo part now also.
Greasemonkey, got any emblems you want to trade???
On a side note, i did see one other set of nos cst/30 emblems on e-bay maybe a year ago. I got out bid at approx $92

Re: CST emblems with pic.

Too much stuff, what isn`t in your collection, yet?Do you remember the GMC 396 emblems in red, white, and blue all kinda jumbled up?I only recall seeing these once, many years ago when I really didn`t know all this nitpickin`stuff on these trucks.I may have seen more but didn`t pay any mind.I know I saw these and now know how rare they were...GMC didn`t use engine designates. It must have been in`68 to promote the big block.

Re: CST emblems with pic.

Tim, i don't recall seeing the 396 emblem, but i remember some talk about one. I still need a few canadian ones. (custom,920,940 and 950) And custom camper/10, camper cruiser and i'm sure some gmc emblems. I am still debating if i should start looking for all of the 40, 50, and 60 series. Where does it end??? This winter has been original brochures and silver books from all years.

I've seen the 396 fender badges... it's a 69 model only.

Re: CST emblems with pic.

Andy, i think what tim is talking about is a gmc thing. I have the 69 396 emblems that look like the 350 and 400 emblems.

Re: CST emblems with pic.

Where does it stop?Either when you have every possible emblem or when your user name is truly fulfilled.
I had a`69 K-model CustomCamper/10 about 25 years ago.I`ve had to argue they existed thoughout that time.Definately not alot out there.
