Any more money invested will not be worth it. You get back half of what you invest and nothing for your labor.

Most people willl want to choose their own wheels. I would agree to just sand and paint them. I would suggest gray as a neutral color thats not bright white or blacked out.

IMHO!!!

Well to me it takes something eye catching for me to look very long especailly over the internet. There are plenty of these trucks out there and if you are a seller trying to get someone(s) to stop and look at your truck it needs to stand out. I would buy a set of ralleys like PICKMUP has for sale on another post ($400 for wheels with rings and caps) and buy decent set of new tires ($440) and keep your old ones. If your like most of us it this wouldn't be the last truck I owned so if buyer wanted discount without my shiney wheels I would mark it down without them and I would have wheels for next project. Your truck looks too nice to not finish it with new tires/wheels. I'm not a white spoke fan so when I looked I would factor in needing to buy new setup after purchase, sure that took me 2 years once!! Just like when you painted and fixed this truck up where do you stop? I say soemtime after wheels/tires.

i agree with Richard about the Alcoa knockoffs. They would look great on your truck! here are some pics to help you get a visual. By the way, what color is that on your truck. that's what i had in mind for my suburban project. info is greatly appreciated.

also, forget the lift on the truck. it sits great now. if look hard enough you may be able to get the alcoas for the same money as those $400 ralleys. here's another pic to give a full view of the wheels.

If I may be brutally honest....

After seeing the additional pictures and the summary of the truck..specifically what you have done to it and what you would like to get out of it....

with the wheels and tires on it....it doesn't "look" like a 10k/9k truck....that doesn't mean it's not worth it and this is just MY opinion...however if you finish it up....put the marker lights on...finish the interior and put some bright wheels (ala chrome or polished aluminum....alcoas?) I think the truck will look more appealing to someone looking for that caliber of a truck. Just my thoughts. I think at that point you could more reasonably expect 10k...and thats just looking at it over the internet....and not knowing the market where you are at.

reread posts

Sorry for the support on the ralley comments, didn't realize it was 3/4 ton. Now I support stock 16" wheels with LT235/85/16's with either correct period caps or newer 70's-80's caps whatever is available or the nice alcoas recommended above. I think if you demand that money you need wheels/tires to support it. Again remove them if buyer balks at paying for them. I have given buyer choice of old setup or new ones and discount the new setup maybe to 80 cents on the dollar but they helped get you the sale!! Worth the $100-300 or so loss on investment in wheels but gained sale on cleaned up truck.

It usually takes money to make money.

Miket,

If you read the first part of the post you would have seen that I am not selling the truck as seen in the photo, or am I completed with the upgrades. That should seem apparent from my reason for the post. I always find it interesting when people feel like they need to educate someone about their price. If you don't like it then the lack of reply by you on that post would suffice. I have sold 15 of these trucks over the past 7 years and am pretty comfortable with determining value. I just see your reply as lame as someone leaving a negative comment on the windshield of a vehicle parked for sale somewhere.

Sorry to waste more space on my post.

To reply to the rest of you kind hearted folks, thanks for the feedback. I have a friend that works for Les Schwabb tires and he is going to let me come down with the truck to try on rims and tires. He will mount up anything I want and put them on so I can check it out. I am leaning towards the ralleys but am excited to see other rims actually on the truck. I also had a friend give me a free 4" lift. So that may be in the works. I will have to see if I fall in love with a new tire and rim setup. I will keep your posted.

Tripp, the color is made by Dupont and it is code #43500A pastel blue.

Miket,

I fully accept the apology and definitely think better of you for posting your clarification. I have had a few friends stop using this site because they had trucks for sale on here and had people negatively taint their post with negative comments. I guess I am a little oversensative. Thanks for being a man about it.

i wanna know where you can score a set of Alcoas for $400!

If you could do that, I would say more power to you! if not, I would recommend stock style steel rims with the dog dish hubcaps. i wouldnt lift that truck, and since you are into these trucks save the lift for another one, perhaps a personal offroading vehicle. just my 2 sense

I am hoping I will be able to even drive a truck after surgery. I really do hate to sell this one because it may be the last I can really do all my own work on. I am sure that a 4 spd 4x4 with a stiff suspension will not be the best for me to drive for awhile.

I bought it from LMC, it was made by AutoCustomCarpets inc. I am very very impressed by its quality. It is the heavy duty loop carpet with the rubber inset by the gas pedal. It is finished off on the edges very well and fit perfectly.
