I actually live in Highland Village, just north of 407 off of Highland Village Road. I grew up in Lewisville and actually graduated from Lewisville High School.

Did all the work myself and it was not fun working alone. This is my third truck to lower and those rivets never seem to get any easlier. 4 in the upper shock mounts and 8 in the upper ball joints. My stepdad normally helps me with stuff like this but he has become ill and did not feel up to it. He can fix, modifiy or make anything. I will tell you i made a couple phone calls to him with questions.

Re: Everyone likes pictures ECE 4.5/6 -- Coys

The truck looks awesome. My truck in my avatar will look very similar just with patina and upper trim once I get it lowered. I just rented a shop last month and am working on getting mine traileredd over so I can drop in the big block and do the ECE 4/6 that I bought a while back.

Just shows that BB weighs a little more than an inline...

I like the stance.

I have to agree. I absolutely love the change the fresh wheels made. You had my heart won over till you mentioned the upper trim. It's just too clean now to clutter up with more trim.

I will tell you the trim is not high on the priority list. I am really interested in an overdrive trans. I am getting everything priced for a 700 and a 4L60E. I already have a Compushift controller that I bought for another truck but the truck is not even close to needing it. I will probably use it on this truck and have to get another one when the other truck is ready. I can say i am liking this truck better everyday. I drive it almost every day.

I really have not changed it much. New 68 Camero steering wheel and a seat from a 94 Chevy.

I drive it alot..... 26K since these pictures. It is sitting in the parking lot at my work right now. Driving to work this morning i noticed the inspection sticker is going to expire in Januarary. 6600 miles this year. I only put 8K miles on my Dodge diesel.

He was 14 4 years ago, he's been doing burnouts in that thing for 2 years now.

Burnout, that is funny. The original big block is tired but it idles and runs smooth and will run down the hiway at 70 with no problems. 11 miles a gallon sucks but it is the price you pay to drive an old truck.

I park it in the shop every day. He has driven it some but not much. He really does not have much interest in it.

I have plenty of room but I sold the other one. I popped off with a number and the guy paid me. My garage is 30X40.

Re: Everyone likes pictures ECE 4.5/6 -- Coys

I was getting ready to do the same drop to mine with a set of 20's.

Can you measure from the ground to the top of wheel arch through the center of the wheel for me.

I would like to see where mine will set once its done.

I have about some variation from side to side but front is 27 5/16 and rear is 28 3/16. Assuming you have a big block with air and you are going to run the same tire sizes, yours should be close to the same. I had to run a 2" sping in front because ECE does not offer a 1.5" spring for a big block. Another thing to consider is the shape of your core support mounts and cab mounts. Mine are collapsed a bit.
