Kingparts Did not try to hit her and was on the brake trying not to. Only bumped one person that was not a accident, and that was when me and Deb came up on Tim and sandwiched him. And it was not planned, just that he got cheated and had one of the slow cars, and was in the right place in a straight part of the track. Kind of hard to resist, and I bet he would have done the same to me.

Always good to meet a few Chevy truck fans.
Will need a time, address(directions) and list of what to bring.

Hey Neighbor! Just up the road from you in Athens!

I am in Cullman quite often, as it is part of my territory. I would love to meet up with you one day, have some lunch and compare "war stories." I would also like to see that "collection" of yours in person!

Look forward to meeting you!

BTW: I attend the UAW Show at the Delphi plant EVERY year! Last year I took my younger brothers Orange and White 72 4x4 and displayed it ... he was trying to sell it .... you guys might have seen it. To make a long story short .... lots of lookers and tire-kickers at the show ... but it didnt sell. He did finally sell it on Ebay ... and it ended up going to Oregon or Washington ... all the way across the dang continent!

Anywhoo .... we all need to set up a time and meet this year ... how about it?

Shane, that truck looks identical to a truck I saw in NW Alabama back in January. I was trailering 2_ 68-72 cabs back from Jock in Sneed AL, where I let JQ-72 in Killen have one of them to make room on the trailer for the 9 foot stepside bed he had for sale.

Anyway, I was coming up 157 toward Florence and stopped for gas near Langtown (just before 101 north to go up past Wheeler Dam). This guy stops and asks me if I'm interested in buying a 72 4X4 short bed. Of course I had to look at it, and he just got it done painted. He pulled it out of a one stall garage and it looked just like that one of your brothers. Now don't tell me that I met your brother and haven't met you yet He was only asking $5000 at the time, but I had O'Reb (71 GMC short step 4X4) and just got the mean green machine (72_C30_9 foot step).

I'm about 20 mile from Sneed AL and go though there once a month or so, When I first started reading your post I thought how did I miss not seeing a trailer full of chevy parts.
If you make it back this way let me know...

For the love of God you have to keep it a GMC, much more rare and the 4 headlights will grow on you

AFEW72, I don't know how anyone missed me Did you ever hook up and meet jock from the board there? He owns a powder blasting shop across from McDonalds, and always has 67-72 parts/trucks out front.

Nu2-72 Well at lest both of you got a new toy.
weasel29gm Thanks...
soala70 If you just got it, I would keep it that way for a while before making the change. Not as many GMC's and like dtlilly said it may grow on you.

Grayw0lf Make it to Outback on this side of B'ham once a month or so. Also try to get to the World of Wheels each year there. And some times to the state fail grounds on the first week end of the month for the big flea market that they have. I'll let you know next time I'm headed that way, and we might can meet up.

dtlilly I've seen a few of his post on here but have not meet him. Usually on a Sunday when I go through there, but I may have to make a special trip some time.

Wow, That is some collection. You have a very understanding wife. Mine is to but she stopped at three. But that is ok. Gives me more money to play with the ones I have. Enjoy your toys. You can never have too many. IMO

I'm reading the board from out in Harvest - if any of you local fellas know of a place I can take my truck and have the interior painted and all my new goodies put in holler at me with some info.

I've got new seats (40/20/40 vinyl), dakota digital dash, new chrome replacements for just about everything else but the glovebox door (if someone knows of a good chrome one holler back at me), got 100 sq feet of dynamat (brown bread same thing) and new carpet ready to go as well, and of course, new gaskets and felt for the doors/windows and a new sliding rear glass.

Soon as the interior is done it's back to the drivetrain, posi rear, new rims/tires, and fix the AC (yeeeow it's hot out there).
