Well a little update. The car has paint and now just needs reassembled and a good cut and buff.

Re: My other project F*rd

the front would probably fit but the rear would not. they are 10 in wide tires and I had to minitub the rear frame. they are 18x9 front and 19x10 rear

britnjc, I know what you mean, I am the same way. I also liked everything to be fast. Now it just has to look good and sit just right. I think I must be getting old. HAHA.

Re: My other project F*rd

Same here low and slow suits me fine now, especially with the family. But this stang will be my guilty pleasure. I may get to be a fan of the track with this one. I have a friend with a subaru WRX which is fast from the factory, and he has been talkin smack. I will have to show him which two wheels are supposed to spin when you do a burn out.

Re: My other project F*rd

britnjc, Mine will be the family hauler, so nothing too wild when it is done. I know my nieces boyfriend has a EVO and that thing flies. I would get in to much trouble if that was my daily driver. He talks smack too.

Man, she turned out awesome! I love fast back mustangs! Doubt I'll ever have one though. That's way too far down on the project list.

Re: My other project F*rd

Well I have neglected this thread for some time. I have been installing trim/side glass/vent windows/weather striping etc etc. I have driven it around the block a couple times and still need to tie up some loose ends and make sure my fan is kicking in. I havent noticed the fan running but it may just not be making it up to temp. I will have to investigate. I need to put a temp gauge in to verify. I havent been too worried about the temp gauge since i was going to rewire the car and hook mine up then. Thats why I am only driving around the block for now. But alas here are some pics

Nice car, love that dark green colour.

I know a guy over here that was trying to fit one of those new Mustang 4.6L modular V8's into an old Ford Capri, gave up in the end and went with a 302 as those new engines are really wide compared to an old sbf and there was no way it was going to fit even with major surgery.

They are wide and major surgery is exactly what was done. shock towers removed and mustang 2 style front suspension installed.

Last night I started tearing out all the wiring because it looked like a rats nest. I am going to do it right this time. Bought a Ron Francis kit for the chasis wiring and also for the 4.6 cobra motor as well. Hopefully this week I can get some headway on the rewire.

Awesome job on the car and good luck on the re wire job. Just stay at it and it won't seem to be so bad.
