I have never had anybody dislike my trucks. But plant manager is a furd man all the way. The first time he seen my first 71, he said those are the only chevy trucks he has ever liked. We are always getting on each other about our choice of makes. These have always been the most popular trucks in my area. Next would be the 73-87 era trucks.

my mother in law, father in law and grandma always where dogging on me for restoring 'that old pickup' . they never understood why i spent 'so much money' on the truck. I always told them, its reliable, safe, and whats the best part about it, 100% mine. Whereas you are renting your vehicle from the bank, and mabee one day the bank will be nice enough to give it to you. After my wreck they dont give me much grief because they know that the big beefy truck and (religious content i cant say here) where the only thing that saved me.

I usually only get compliments on my Dodge cause i drive it regularly and it isn't even show quality. I can't realy think of a time people talk sh!t about it. Even though my Chevy is in a bunch of pieces right now i have a few buddies who can see the potential. I think the only person who gives me trouble about my trucks is my headache aka wife and my older sister.

My mom thinks it's cute.

Now my wife...She though I was crazy for selling my 01 GMC to buy this truck but she understands that I like to work on stuff and fix things up.

i dont care what any one thinks all the girls are like why do you waste your money, bit i had a twin turbo93 rx7 and everyone thought that was god and brand new and it was 15 years old, my truck was in my school year book and some girls actually like it, my current g/f hates it but i have a nissan 240sx pearl white with 19 inch wheels full adjustable suspension all the way and she loves that thing i dont want it i just put it on autotrader so my c-10 will now be my daily. ****em. i dont care what people think but mine looks really good so i dont get much of any dissing.

nobody has to like it as long as you do. i get negative feed back on my truck to, but i get more positive than negative. its kind of like making more good memories than bad memories, just so the good ones out weigh the bad ones

I live in the country, they call it "horse country" around here, and i rarely go in the city. its funny when i take somebody for a ride from school, and we pass a guy on a tractor, and i can call it out to them that the guy is going to wave.

sometimes i dont say anything, and just wave back, its looks cool, like you know every single farmer on the planet.

chev-obessession..he drives like a 91 lumina.. even my eclipse i think is better then that haha... and the only thing i have done to my eclipse is put an under glow kit on it.. and he thinks im retarded for doing that so i cant wait til the truck is done... when its all done ill possibly make a video on you tube for all you guys

the guys usually rip on me about driving a purple truck, or how their exhaust is lowder than mine, or that there truck tops out at 160, 170(km), rather than 140 even though they know its one of the most powerful trucks at the school. but i know they're just kidding around and il through something back like a purple truck has more balls than their truck. besides all the girls i know would rather ride in my truck than any other car or truck at school and thats all that counts

I have never really had anything bad said about my truck, most everybody likes it. I was at my local cruise-in last year and a guy showed up with a 69 longbed with some new Suburban wheels on it. The truck din't look too bad, but those wheels just looked awful. He said he didn't like hown on my truck, there is the crease at the front of the bed where it was extended for the Longhorn. That's about the only bad thing ever said about my truck. But it is awesome to drive to high school in these trucks. I started driving mine in April of 07 in my junior year, and I got to drive it all of my senior year. I had the 2nd oldest car my junior year(67 Tempest was the oldest, and my neighbor drove a 71 C10) and the oldest my senior year. But it was also awesome having the loudest car there. I just wish I could have finished my 37 when I was still in school because that thing will probably be open header for a while. That would definitely have scared some people.

I really don't care what any one thinks of my 72, but it does get frustrating at times listen to peoples mindless banter. I have a neighbor who buys 2 new cars every 2 years or so, and a new harley 2-3 times a year. He informed me that I would not be able to buy parts for a truck that old. How stupid could he be? He has seen 9 of these trucks come and go over the past 14 years, a few of which had a nice show career. He did not know what to think when I whipped out a brothers catalog. The other neighbors hate the 5 am cold morning starts, and the car alarms being set of on our narrow streets. The teachers and faculty at the elementary school that my children attend, are scared to let my children get in my truck. My sons 2nd grade teacher covers her mouth/nose when she escorts him to the truck, I did not know it was capable of transmitting airborne communicable diseases. But everywhere else I go, it gets thumbs ups, waves, pictures snapped etc. But we are the few who love these trucks, and will run them until the feds pull fossil fuel. Who cares, they're ours, they're paid for, and they make us who we are.
