Re: My cluster by byrd, a must see!

$5 and I will ship it to you on my dime, as a repeat customer discount. Are you sure that it is bad, LED (light emitting diode) is polarized and will onlt work one way, as electricity will only flow thru the diode one way. Pull it out and leave it in the bulb holder and flip if 180 deg. and reinstall and see if that doesn't fix the problem. If it is the bulb then I got what you need, just lmk...Randy

Darn, I wish I knew that sooner. Anyway, I need a spare so I will pay pal you the $5.00 if you are sure about the freight? I will have to remember where I put the thing. I always put things so I will know where it is then do not remember wher that place is. John

I was just doing some research for future reference. Since I don't own a 67-72 truck (yet ) I don't need anything now. In the event I get another truck I will be sure to get with Randy....

Well, you should still get some of them LED bulb's. Also put some of the white overlays on your truck. I can not remember what year you have but I sure do remember how sharp the truck is. Randy does not sell the overlays for the '73-'87 clusters but you can get them form the address I posted abouve. Randy might be selling these later. I love the white overlays I put in my '86 and the blue LED's. But my '70 I was not too sure about so I had a professional do that cluster (randy).

I have a reconditioned cluster in my 77. I'm not running LED's but I did have the cluster painted silver inside and added brighter bulbs.

I'm don't think the white face would go with my interior. Maybe silver....

Re: My cluster by byrd, a must see!

If I remember correctly, your exterior is black like my '86 right? I think the white would look great with any color interior. My interior in the '86 is black. Would like to see pictures of the exterior again. I just remember how sharp your truck is and would like to see it again if possible. You can check with the link above and I think they might can do siver. I was going to put yellow in the Burb and I know they had that but decided to go with white. My interior in the Suburban is yellow and black. Your interior is sweet. Do you ever show your truck? I am planning on showing the Suburban when done.

Re: My cluster by byrd, a must see!

Yes it's black outside. Click on the link at the bottom of my sig and you can view my photo album. You will have to join to view it, but it's free and they don't spam ya so it's cool.

I looked at the site that you linked above and it has some cool colors. Right now I think I will keep this one like it is inside. If I keep a stock dash in my 82 Blazer project I will put a custom overlay in it.

Yes, I do take my 77 to shows and cruise nights. I bought it just for so I could get back to showing and cruising trucks again....

Re: My cluster by byrd, a must see!

:hj: OK did anyone else see the speedo on longhorn's instrument cluster looked suspiciously like 110 mph and since the tach needle was no where to be seen one can only wonder if the pic was indeed taken at that speed

My guess is that was one of Andy's many pics that were taken "at speed". Just remember though, those pics were taken by a professional driver on a closed road course and should not be attempted by anyone on public roads.......

Now why do I find that hard to believe?
