Re: POST your 60-66 Panel truck only pictures
The gold version photos are from the 1980's, after I had owned it for about a year. From what I remember, that's what happens when you put a '64 - '66 front bumper on a '60 - '63. The bumper sits at an angle.
The white version photos are from the 1990's as you can tell from the side mirrors. It's been garaged for 20 years, Hoping and praying I'll get it on the road with some needed updates this spring. I'm gathering parts. Daryl |

Re: POST your 60-66 Panel truck only pictures
Here is my 65'...the first pic is a combo shot when I just got it back from the painter. That is when I took ownership as well as this truck was started by a friend that had too many projects so I took this off his hands. Been sitting in the garage ever since while I collect parts, traded those Suburban seats for a pair of buckets, also got the various delete and cover plates for the back doors in the trade as well...had to throw in a nice truck bench seat though. This is an unusual Chevy panel with factory or dealer installed interior side panels instead of the bare bones look that these trucks usually have. Someone built a wood floor with a tapered frame to be flush at the back doors but gives a few inches of height at the front for a shallow storage area just behind the seats...you can just see the hand pull to open it up. Basically, the compartment houses the speaker wires for the rear speakers but could hold something shallow or short out of the way. I still need a good automatic column. It came with a 350 in it but I want to replace that with either my 283 or the I230 I have waiting for homes. jon

interesting, I wonder if it was or could have been special ordered? I looked up the models in my 1962 silver book, and all that is listed for c/20 is chassis cab, long step, long fleet, and stake, the same is listed for K/20, but the stake is omitted. the same book does have c/10 sub and panel listed, and then a c/30 panel.

I noticed it had those years bug-eye hood on it, but the hood, which was a different color than the rest of the truck, had an Apache 10 emblem on it while the fender, which had the patina of the rest of the panel, had an emblem that said Apache 20. I was trying to finagle the hood away from him unsuccessfully at the time of the conversation.

Re: POST your 60-66 Panel truck only pictures
They were an option on 1960-1965 and became standard in the 1966 trucks.
