I'm sure you can find an original seat and cover it for less than $900. Maybe find one with a new cover already for 1/3 or less of that price. What you have to watch for is many seats are too fat in the back.at least for my liking. The original seats were designed to fit "these" cabs, which are no bigger than they needed to be. Not trying to be smart, but it sounds like your dogs are going to tear up whatever you get. You either need to keep putting cheap seats in or stop cruising with your dogs...been there/done that. The cheapest way to go is junkyard seats. I didn't notice, did you mention what color you need? I've come across later Blazer seat for cheap. I bought tan cloth '80s/early-90s Blazer seats and console for $60 and they are very very comfortable.

04 silverado seats. i love em! and found 20 bucks in the driver seat when i pulled them out of the truck at the wrecking yard!
Do you know what year range this style seat was used? I kind of like these alittle more than the 95-98 seats.

Special-K....to answer your question I am looking for a grey, but I fully expect to have to re-upholster them when I tackle the body/paint/interior of the truck. I dont have a paint color selected yet and that will dictate the interior color scheme. I dont ride with the dogs like i used to, but the seat is in such a condition that when I do the damage gets significantly worse.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Those Caddy seats would be super cool, but I would like the center console/flip-down armrest.

Hey DZ,
.
Thought this might be of interest to you. Don't know this guy, but he sell a few nice seats.
I think he wants a core, but not sure.

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?

I know this post is over a month old but these were in my truck when I bought it. Not sure what they came out of but they may have everything you are looking for, they are in great condition, very comfortable, they are Grey, have a console setup, built-in belts and best of all they are free.
You can come get them or maybe we can piggyback them in your direction with other board members. I would also be willing to ship them Greyhound for cost plus some gas money (the closest Greyhound station is an hour round trip from me). Probably cost about $100 or so but would be worth it.
Same deal for anyone else that wants them.

I went with Buddy Buckets in my 72 GMC. The center seat folds down for an armrest.

I like the 95-98 chevy truck seats. I know they are comfortable, but I would like to know if anyone has identified a donor vehicle that has the flip up arm rest with cup holders. I dont mind fabricating some type of custom mounting to the cab floor. I also have to keep in mind the T-56 shifter. It has been relcoated forward and just barely clears the bench in 2nd, 4th, and 6th gear.

Post pics or share the year/make/model of what you have found to work. Also, I'd like to know where you guys are finding there seats....ebay, craigslist, etc.
Why don't you just put your dogs in the back? Lol

Is your seat powered, one side or both? Is the in cab gas tank still in your truck? If the gas tank is still in the cab do you think the seat would go back further if the gas tank was out of the cab ?

I have the same seat as yours sitting on a shelf waiting to go into my truck and I also have a stock bench seat with a new Truckseats cover I can put in and I can't decide which way to go.

Only my driver seat is power, and the tank is still in the cab. If the tank was out, you could side the seat back a little more but the back would be more upright. As you can see the seat touches the cab along with the tank. I'm 6' and the seat fits me very well.

Re: What seats are you using in your 67-72?

I picked up a set of buckets with the fold down center console out of 2011 Chevy truck that I just dropped off at the upholstery shop today. Gonna have bucket seat height cut down to cab window height and have the seats wrapped with black vinyl and black/white houndstooth insert.

Those seats should be great also. My only reason for picking the '06 seats was that I wanted the integral seat belts.
