I say keep it the med olive as well with the trim. You have a nice blazer, i'd build it to look stock but that's my preference.

Re: well darn. og or custom
Wow that is a sweet looking blazer. Really good shape as well. Personally I would stick pretty close to original since it is a CST, but a mild factory custom would be nice as well. I sold my blazer because it wasn't a CST and I want a factory CST not a custom made one. I think it bieng factory CST is far more important than having numbers matching engine (although that would be really nice).
What swap meet did you go to? The Conroe winter meet? I didn't get to go because I am working but my parents said it was a good one! |

Re: well darn. og or custom
I found mine in Carson City someone had done a rebuild in 80's after checking it was orig. 6 cyl but when i bought it had a v8 350 which was gen 1 style, had cloth seats and carpet in it. I wish it would have been CST but since then i have put orig scrolled seat covers and rubber instead of carpet which works better for east Texas rain and mud. Your Blazer looks sweet for staying Orig.
best of luck with it. I just found in Marshel a few months back a 70 GMC Custom that was orig with factory AC I will use it for deer lease for a few years and the plan a frame off resto all orig. I love those orig Blazers. Nice plates just wandering are they legal to run? My plates say 71 BLZ but orig 71 Plates would be cool. New at this i will try to post pic of mine i picked up in Nev. |
