Sweet, can't wait to check those episodes out, bmg! I have a lot of the episodes taped, but they're spread out over a bunch of unlabeled tapes. I guess it's time to start going through them!

This is my fisrt post to the board but I have been monitoring it for awhile. Great site.
I just wanted to throw my 2 cent in here about how much trouble he may have had with this truck so far. I can tell you that my truck has pretty much the same chassis set-up as his with the exception of the 572 and the Gear vendors overdrive unit and the Dana 60. My whole chassis has came from Early Classic ( with the exception of the frame itself) and it has really just fell together. You do need to remove some of the factory rivets for the swaybar brackets and the rear shock relocation brackets. The one thing that he has never mentioned on the show is his rearend situation. If you run a gurdled rear end cover(whether its a Dana 60 or 10 or 12 bolt) the rear panard bar will come in contact with the cover with any suspension movement. So you need to move the panard bar brackets back about three inches. (I know because I had to do this) But the stock cover will work fine.
I quess the reason I made this post was that sometimes things do go together nicely like they are suppose to. But this stuff defenitely takes longer than a 1/2 hour.
As far as a ballbark quess as to how much money is in that truck. I would say around $45,000 because I will end up around $30-35,000 in mine when its done. I can tell you that the 572 he got was from someone he knows at GM and he was working on getting this 572 for over a year so he could be the first one. As to how much he ended up paying for it, I don't really know. But he did pay for it and it was not givin to him like what happens on alot of shows.

Bowtiefreak - do you have any pics of your truck you could post in a new topic. We all love to see other people's pride and joys.

Just so you know Stacey has a website.

That truck is going together pretty sweet. Makes me miss my 1972 so much.

The feedback link IS on Stacys Page, not Truck TV. I think if enough people tell him they want to see it on DVD it may get produced and sold on his web site ...

I have the first 3 copperhead episodes on VHS I bought from Trucks TV last fall. I used them to rebuild my front and back suspension.

When I found out recently that they won't be doing that any more I about went through the roof (trust me I complained PLENTY to both Trucks and Mr. David). They've held us off from the copperhead project for months, but if you go to his site you can see it's amost done. Therefore, they're waiting to air the episodes until the summer probably, but they wont' provide any copies of the shows.

I bet if we all complain loud enough they'll do it. You know they have the originals...

Does anyone know what size of wheels and tire's he's running on there. They just don't look quite right to me (maybe lowering it would make it look better).

I like trucks and horsepower TV, but the two guys on HP TV have some of the dumbest puns ever and they get old. Oh well, I still watch.

Ya we talked about this at work today and I had the lowest estimate. It ran between $50K and $100K. That's out of my price range.

I've been following the Copperhead build up too, very cool. I've burned each episode (the ones I've caught anyways) onto SVCDs but somehow I doubt redistributing them on an ftp site is legal, probably a violation of copyright.

I definately would like to see the whole of the Trucks series on DVD, including some of the older episodes like the Wicked Willies.

Passed my feelings onto the Trucks staff.
